1 Egg (Whole)
3 Tap Water
1 Apple Cider Vinegar
1 Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1.5 Blanched Almond Flour
0.5 Parmesan Cheese (Grated)
0.5 Baking Powder (Straight Phosphate, Double Acting)
0.5 Xylitol
0.75 Oregano
0.75 Basil
0.25 Crushed Red Pepper Flakes

Steps:

  • This low carb pizza crust recipe is suitable for all phases except for the first two weeks of Induction due to the nuts.Preheat oven to 375°F.Whisk together the wet ingredients (egg, water, vinegar, and oil) in a small bowl. Set aside.Add all the dry ingredients (almond flour through red pepper) to a medium bowl. Mix until ingredients are evenly distributed and any lumps in the flour or cheese are broken up. Add the wet ingredients and stir to form a thick dough. Prepare a pizza pan or sheet pan with greased parchment paper. Using wet fingers, press the dough into a roughly 12-inch diameter, ¼-inch thick round on the parchment paper.Prebake the low carb pizza crust without any toppings for 20 minutes, until lightly golden and crisp around the edges. Allow to cool for about 5 minutes before layering desired toppings. Place back in the oven for a few minutes to warm the toppings and melt the cheese. Makes 8 slices.Ingredient notes: For best results, use blanched, fine ground almond flour and a large or extra-large egg. The dried spices are optional but add great flavor to the dough. Consider adding up to 1/2 tsp garlic powder as well.Variations: To make a crispy, more cracker like crust, prebake for another 5-10 minutes and allow to cool for about 20 minutes before topping. For breadsticks, form 8, 1-inch thick breadstick shaped mounds and cook for 25-30 minutes.

3 eggs
3 c mozzarella cheese, shredded
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp basil, dried
whatever pizza toppings you like

Steps:

  • 1. Heat oven to 450 degrees. In a bowl thoroughly combine eggs, cheese, garlic, and basil.
  • 2. press evenly into Pam sprayed pizza pan or cookie sheet, or you can just use parchment paper.
  • 3. Bake at 450 degrees until golden brown (about 10 to 15 minutes)
  • 4. After baking the crust, let cool for about 15 minutes to stiffen up.. Flip the crust and dress the pizza. 1/4 cup low carb marinara (great value brand has the lowest carb count of 3 net) 1 cup Mozzarella cheese Italian sausage (browned and crumbled) sliced back olives onions...
  • 5. Put back in oven until cheese melts and edges are browned.

I have always loved pizza, as does my father, so when we started the Atkins diet recently, we wanted to find some way of eating pizza without breaking our carb budget. We came up with this idea, and to me, it tastes just as good as pizza with a crust! Also, to me, the secret to restaurant-quality pizza, with its unique scent and taste, is oregano. I usually use dried oregano.

1 lb ground beef
3 cups no-sugar-added marinara sauce
1/4 teaspoon oregano, plus
1 teaspoon oregano
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 cup mushroom, chopped
1/2 cup bell pepper, diced (any color will do)
1/2 cup black olives, chopped
1/2 cup green olives, chopped
salt and pepper
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt, plus
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
3 tablespoons butter

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat until melted but not browned. Add ground beef, season with pinch of salt and pepper, 1/2 teaspoon oregano, 1/2 teaspoon onion powder, and 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt, and cook until slightly browned, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Pour all of marinara sauce into the skillet. Add both olives, bell pepper, mushrooms, 1 teaspoon oregano, pinch of salt and pepper, 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt, and cook until vegetables soften, about 3 minutes.
  • Transfer contents of skillet into a large casserole dish. Top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese, then sprinkle top with garlic powder (this will crisp as it bakes and form a nice topping), and bake for about 10-15 minutes or until sauce bubbles at the edge and cheese browns slightly. Enjoy!
