Steps:
- In a small saucepan, heat 1/2 cup sugar and 1/2 cup water on medium high until sugar dissolves; remove from heat.
- In the meantime, slice the orange, apple and pear.
- Mix all ingredients together and let stand in a tightly-sealed container or pitcher for at least 24 hours in the refrigerator before serving.

- In a large pitcher, combine the pear, pomegranate seeds, simple syrup, pomegranate juice, brandy, and red wine. Stir well, then chill until ready to serve, up to 2 days.
- Immediately before serving, add the ginger beer, and stir to incorporate.
- Pour into glasses and garnish with candied ginger.

- Make the Pomegranate Syrup. In a small pot, combine the pomegranate seeds, sugar and water. Bring to a simmer for about 8-10 minutes. Strain and discard seeds and chill syrup while you make the sangria.
- Make the Sangria: In a large pitcher, add the red wine, sliced fruit St. Germaine, Grand Marnier and pomegranate juice. When the syrup is cool enough, add about 1/2 a cups worth first and taste for sweetness.
- Taste for Sweetness and Adjust: If you prefer your sangria less sweet, only hadd 1/2 cup of the pomegranate syrup. If you like it more sweet, add the whole cups worth.
- Chill Sangria: For at least 2 hours and when ready to serve, pour in glasses and top with sparkling wine (or water) and garnish with pear slices and pomegranate seeds.
