Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a medium bowl, cream together butter and sugar until smooth. Stir in egg yolk and vanilla. Gradually stir in the flour until just blended, then mix in crushed potato chips and pecans. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Criss-cross the top using a fork dipped in water.
- Bake 12 to 14 minutes in preheated oven, or until edges are lightly browned. Cool on baking sheets.

Found this recipe in one of my ladies magazines and tore it out. Unfortunately I don't remember which one. Posting for safe keeping.

Steps:
- Heat oven to 350 degrees.
- Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Using an electric mixer beat butter, vanilla, salt and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.
- On low, beat in flour until just incorportated.
- Stir in pecans and crushed potato chips.
- In small bowl, place sugar. Roll level teaspoons of dough into balls and roll them around in sugar to coat.
- Place on prepared baking sheets, spacing them 2" apart. With flat bottomed cup or glass, press each ball in to 1/4" thick round.
- Bake until lightly brown, 16-18 minutes.
- Let cool for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

MILK CHOCOLATE CHIP-PECAN COOKIES

- Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Beat the butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar with an electric mixer in a large bowl until fluffy. Add the vanilla and egg and beat to combine.
- Whisk together the flour, baking soda and salt in a medium bowl. Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture and beat until just combined. Stir in the milk chocolate chips and pecans.
- Scoop slightly mounded tablespoons of the dough and roll into balls. Arrange about 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheets and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Meanwhile, position oven racks in the top and bottom thirds of the oven and preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Bake until the cookies are set and golden on the bottom, 12 to 15 minutes. Let cool on the baking sheets for 10 minutes, then transfer to racks to cool completely.

- Combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl.
