Time 5m

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 cup cold brewed coffee
1/2 cup milk (I used unsweetened almond)
1 banana (I used frozen)
1 tablespoon peanut butter
1 tablespoon ground flax seeds

Steps:

  • Take the blender and add all ingredients. Note: add wet ingredients first for easier blending.

  • Taste the smoothie and add additional sweetener if the smoothie is not sweet enough to your taste. (See "Recipe tips" section for sweetener recommendation)
  • Transfer the smoothie into a smoothie glass.
  • Add toppings (optional): I used ground flax seeds and shredded dark chocolate. Be creative here and add toppings you like.

COFFEE PROTEIN SHAKE: 7 SMOOTHIES FOR A HIGH PROTEIN ...

From greatist.com
  • Cafe mocha protein shake. Put a cup of coffee in the fridge before you go to bed and this breakfast will take approximately 3 minutes to make.
  • Cold brew mocha smoothie. This smoothie uses our favorite nutritious sweetener: dates! You need just two to make it super sweet, and they’ll add some bonus fiber and potassium to your shake at the same time.
  • Bulletproof coffee protein latte. If you haven’t jumped on the Bulletproof coffee train yet, grab a jar of coconut oil and DIY it at home.
  • Vanilla latte smoothie. This has the swag of a vanilla bean frappe but slyly uses a banana and honey for that distinctive sweetness.
  • Oats and flax coffee shake. Powder is an obvious way to add protein to your shakes, but it’s not the only way. This smoothie amps up its protein count with rolled oats and flaxseed.
  • Wake Me Up coffee smoothie. This coffee won’t wake you up — you’ll wake yourself up in anticipation of it! This morning boost has everything you need: fruit (a frozen banana), whole grains, protein, and healthy fats (from nut butter).
  • Creamy coffee and yogurt smoothie. If you eat dairy, Greek yogurt really is the sheikh of thickening your morning shake.
