Steps:
- Place all ingredients except bacon in crockpot. Arrange bacon in spoke formation on top. Cook 4 hours or until done.
- OR Preheat oven to 350. In skillet melt butter over low hear. Add onion and garlic, cook until softened. Add other ingredients and heat through. Place in baking dish-level with spatula. Arrange uncooked bacon on top in spoke formation. Bake uncovered 40-45 minutes.

- 1. Brown onion in same skillet used to cook bacon, over medium-high heat about 5 to 6 minutes.
- 2. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain off excess grease.
- 3. Add rest of ingredients except bacon. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer 15 to 20 minutes until it tastes real gooooooood!
- 4. Crumble bacon over the top before serving.
REFRIED BEANS

- Reserve about a third of the beans. Mash the rest of the beans in a medium bowl with a large fork. Set aside.
- Heat the oil in a medium skillet over medium-high heat. Add the onion, and cook until lightly browned, about 4 minutes. Add the garlic and continue to cook, stirring, until lightly browned. Add the spices and cook until fragrant about 1 minute.
- Add the mashed beans and half the broth; cook, stirring frequently, until slightly thickened, about 5 minutes. Add the reserved beans and the enough of the remaining broth to loosen up the beans. Simmer until the beans are thick but not pasty, about 2 minutes more. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir in the fresh coriander, if desired, and serve.
