Steps:
- In a small bowl, add one whole egg, one egg yolk, parmesan cheese, and pepper to taste. Whisk with fork until well combined.
- Cut two strips of bacon crosswise into half-inch strips. Fry until cooked but not yet crispy.
- Boil water and cook ramen very al dente, or just until it can be loosened from it's block form.
- Add 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil to the bacon and stir, lifting any bacon bits that are stuck to the pan. Once the oil is hot, remove the pan from heat.
- Pour a small amount of the water the ramen was cooked in and stir. Add the ramen noodles and stir some more, coating the noodles in the bacon/olive oil mixture.
- Next, add the egg mixture, making sure to pour it onto the noodles and not straight onto the pan. Stir vigorously. The heat from the pan and ingredients need to turn the egg mixture into a creamy sauce. But, if the eggs get too hot they will cook too much and become scrabbled eggs. Add additional ramen water as needed to create a smooth but creamy sauce.
- Plate and top with additional parmesan cheese and pepper.
- Enjoy!

Steps:
- Cook bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crisp, about 5 minutes. Transfer to paper towels to drain. Add onion to bacon drippings in skillet; cook until tender, 3 to 5 minutes.
- Meanwhile, cook ramen in a saucepan according to package directions, adding peas the last minute of cooking. Reserve 1/2 cup cooking water; drain.
- Whisk together egg, Parmesan, onion and drippings, salt, and red pepper in a bowl. Add hot ramen and cooked bacon. Toss to coat, adding enough reserved cooking water to make a creamy consistency. Top servings with parsley.

- Curry Hot Chicken Flavor. One of the spicier flavors, there is still a sweetness to this dish that keeps it from being excruciatingly hot. With a distinct curry flavor that you'd probably associate with Indian food, this flavor tastes wildly different than any of the others.
- Cheese Hot Chicken Flavor. If you're one of those people who likes cheese in their ramen (it isn't as weird as it sounds) then this is the Samyang flavor for you.
- Hot Chicken Flavor. The first in Samyang's spicy noodle empire, this savory flavor is a must-try for any instant noodle fan. Besides tasting delicious on its own, it's also great for experimenting with.
- Carbonara Hot Chicken Flavor. If this flavor had been given a different name it probably would have ranked higher on this list, but given the fact that this tastes nothing like Italian carbonara it's going to get a few demerits.
- Jjajang Hot Chicken Flavor. Since the Samyang brand comes from South Korea, creating a flavor that represented their country was inevitable. While you get a hint of sweetness from the distinctive jjajangmyeon black bean sauce, the Samyang spice nearly covers it up entirely.
- Stew Type Hot Chicken Flavor. One of my favorite things about Samyang's noodles is that they're drier than your average instant ramen, guaranteeing that your noodles don't become soggy and that the delicious sauce clings to each strand.
- 2x Spicy Hot Chicken Flavor. With a Scoville rating of about 8000 units (which is the equivalent of eating an entire jalapeno), this Samyang flavor not only became a viral internet challenge, but is also one of the spiciest instant noodles on the market.
- Ice Type Hot Chicken Flavor. Taking the time to cook noodles and then having to wait for them cool back down seems like a waste of time to me. While the actual flavor is tasty enough (it's similar to the original chicken flavor), eating cold noodles has little to no appeal for me.
- Mala Hot Chicken Flavor. The only Samyang flavor that I probably wouldn't buy again. Meant to be numbingly spicy like the Chinese sauce it's named after, this flavor actually happens to be one of the less spicy ones on this list.
WE TRIED ALL 9 FLAVOURS OF SAMYANG'S KOREAN SPICY NOODLES
From sethlui.com
- Original Hot Chicken Flavour. Of course, we had to start with the basics to warm up (quite literally) with. Apart from the spicy sauce, the Original Hot Chicken Flavour Ramen ($6.90) came with the sesame seeds and seaweed flakes too.
- 2x Spicy Hot Chicken Flavour. Next, we levelled up and went for the 2x Spicy Hot Chicken Flavour ($6.90). The oozing bright red sauce really intimidated some of us at the office, but we refused to chicken out.
- Jja Jang Myeon Hot Chicken Flavour. At a whopping $4.50 for an individual packet, the Jja Jang Myeon Hot Chicken Flavour Ramen ($4.50) was the most expensive flavour amongst its other spicy counterparts.
- Ice Type Hot Chicken Flavour. The Ice Type Hot Chicken Flavour ($6.90) was the most interesting one because you hardly see instant noodles meant to be eaten cold.
- Carbonara Hot Chicken Flavour. Ah, Carbonara Hot Chicken Flavour ($7.90), the queen of my heart. The Carbonara was the second latest to hit Singapore’s shores and has very quickly earned a fan base.
- Curry Hot Chicken Flavour. If you love Japanese curry, then you’ll dig the Samyang Curry Flavour Ramen ($6.90). The noodles came with curry sauce and a small packet of dried vegetables.
- Mala Hot Chicken Flavour. The mala craze is still going strong, and now you can get instant Samyang Mala Flavour Ramen ($8.30) to satisfy your cravings any time, anywhere (okay almost anywhere, as long as you’ve got hot water and a pot).
- Cheese Hot Chicken Flavour. The Cheese Hot Chicken Flavour Ramen ($6.90) used to be my favourite flavour, but has since been replaced by the two aforementioned newer ones.
- Stew Type Hot Chicken Flavour. Out of all the Samyang flavours, the Stew Type Hot Chicken Flavour Ramen ($7.50) was the only one meant to be cooked as a soup.
