BAKED LEMON GARLIC SALMON RECIPE



Baked Lemon Garlic Salmon Recipe image

Number Of Ingredients 12

2 lb salmon fillet
Kosher salt
Extra virgin olive oil (I used Early Harvest Greek extra virgin olive oil)
1/2 lemon, sliced into rounds
Parsley for garnish
Zest of 1 large lemon
Juice of 2 lemons
3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil (I used Early Harvest Greek extra virgin olive oil)
5 garlic cloves, chopped
2 tsp dry oregano
1 tsp sweet paprika
1/2 tsp black pepper

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Make the lemon-garlic sauce. In a small bowl or measuring cup, mix together the lemon juice, lemon zest, extra virgin olive oil, garlic, oregano, paprika and black pepper. Give the sauce a good whisk.
  • Prepare a sheet pan lined with a large piece of foil (should be large enough to fold over salmon). Brush top of the foil with extra virgin olive oil.
  • Now, pat salmon dry and season well on both sides with kosher salt. Place it on the foiled sheetpan. Top with lemon garlic sauce (make sure to spread the sauce evenly.)
  • Fold foil over the salmon (seam-side up). Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until salmon is almost completely cooked through at the thickest part (cooking time will vary based on the thickness of your fish. If your salmon is thinner, check several minutes early to ensure your salmon does not overcook. If your piece is very thick, 1 1/2 or more inches, it may take a bit longer.)
  • Carefully remove from oven and open foil to uncover the top of the salmon. Place under the broiler briefly, about 3 minutes or so. Watch closely as it broils to make sure it doesn't overcook and the garlic does not burn.)

2 salmon fillets
½ cup soy sauce
½ cup lemon juice
¼ cup roughly chopped onion
6 slices onion
2 cloves garlic, roughly chopped
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tablespoon garlic-pepper seasoning

Steps:

  • Place salmon fillets into a bowl.
  • Combine soy sauce, lemon juice, 1/2 the chopped onion, onion slices, chopped garlic, and black pepper in a separate bowl. Pour marinade over the salmon; add the rest of the chopped onion, minced garlic, and garlic-pepper seasoning.
  • Cover bowl with the salmon and refrigerate, flipping fish over in the last 3 to 4 hours, 12 to 15 hours total.
  • Preheat an outdoor grill for high heat and lightly oil the grate.
  • Place salmon on the grill or on planks; top with the marinated onion slices. Cook until nicely browned, 8 to 10 minutes. Reduce heat to medium-low and cook until fish flakes easily with a fork, 3 to 5 minutes more.

Fresh salmon needs very little preparation. These salmon fillets are cooked in good, sweet butter and minced garlic, and then sprinkled with a little lemon juice. If you'd like a little more kick and a fancy presentation, caramelize onions and serve them atop the cooked salmon.

2 teaspoons minced garlic
1 teaspoon lemon pepper
2 (4 ounce) fillets salmon
1 lemon

Steps:

  • Season salmon fillets on both sides with lemon pepper.
  • In a large skillet, melt butter over medium high heat. Stir in garlic. Place salmon in pan. Cook for 10 minutes per inch of thickness, or until fish flakes when tested with a fork. Flip fillets halfway through cooking to brown on both sides. Sprinkle with lemon juice before serving.

3/4 cup vegetable oil
3/4 cup water
1/3 cup lemon juice
3 tablespoons salmon & seafood seasoning (available at Sam's Club)
24 ounces salmon fillets or 24 ounces steaks

Steps:

  • Combine oil, water, lemon juice & seasoning in resealable plastic bag.
  • Add salmon and marinate 30 minute to 8 hours in refrigerator.
  • Remove fish and discard marinade.
  • Grill or broil for 8-10 minutes or until salmon flakes easily. (No need to turn).

  • Place a rack in the center of your oven and preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Generously coat a large rimmed baking sheet with nonstick spray. Arrange the salmon fillets in the center of the sheet.
  • In a small bowl with a fork, combine the softened butter, garlic, lemon zest, 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley, and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper. Mash to create a paste, then rub on the salmon fillets. If desired, arrange extra lemon slices on top.
  • Place the green beans and tomatoes in a large bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt and the remaining 1/4 teaspoon black pepper. Toss to coat, then arrange around the salmon. Drizzle the lemon juice over the top of the salmon and vegetables.
  • Place the sheet pan in the oven and cook until the fish flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145 degrees F, about 16 to 20 minutes.* Let rest 3 minutes.
