Steps:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Brown meat in large skillet. Meanwhile, mix potatoes, cream cheese, 1/2 cup of the shredded cheese and the garlic until well blended.
- Drain meat. Return to skillet; stir in vegetables and gravy. Spoon into 9-inch square baking dish; cover with potato mixture and remaining 1/2 cup shredded cheese.
- Bake 20 min. or until heated through.

- In a large skillet, brown beef, onion and garlic in 2 tablespoons of oil. Add the mushrooms. Cook and stir for 3 minutes; drain. Place the tomato paste in a bowl. Gradually whisk in broth until smooth. Stir in horseradish, mustard, 1 teaspoon salt and pepper. Add to meat mixture. Pour into a greased 11x7-in. baking pan; set aside. , In the same skillet, saute the peppers in remaining oil until tender, about 3 minutes. Drain and spoon over meat mixture. Cook potatoes in boiling salted water until tender; drain. Mash with milk, cheese and remaining salt. Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form; gently fold into potatoes. Spoon over pepper layer. Bake, uncovered, at 425° for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350°; bake 20 minutes longer or until meat layer is bubbly.

- Boil potatoes in salted water until tender, about 12 minutes. Drain potatoes and pour them into a bowl. Combine sour cream, egg yolk and cream. Add the cream mixture into potatoes and mash until potatoes are almost smooth.
- While potatoes boil, preheat a large skillet over medium high heat. Add oil to hot pan with beef or lamb. Season meat with salt and pepper. Brown and crumble meat for 3 or 4 minutes. If you are using lamb and the pan is fatty, spoon away some of the drippings. Add chopped carrot and onion to the meat. Cook veggies with meat 5 minutes, stirring frequently. In a second small skillet over medium heat cook butter and flour together 2 minutes. Whisk in broth and Worcestershire sauce. Thicken gravy 1 minute. Add gravy to meat and vegetables. Stir in peas.
- Preheat broiler to high. Fill a small flameproof rectangular casserole with meat and vegetable mixture. Spoon potatoes over meat evenly. Top potatoes with paprika and broil 6 to 8 inches from the heat until potatoes are evenly browned. Top casserole dish with chopped parsley and serve.

- Preheat oven to 350°. Place potatoes in a stockpot and cover with water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and cook until tender, 15 minutes., Meanwhile, cook beef, onions and garlic in a Dutch oven until meat is no longer pink; drain. Stir in corn and barbecue sauce., Drain potatoes; mash with cream cheese, butter, salt and pepper. Spoon meat mixture into 2 greased 13x9-in. baking dishes. Spread mashed potatoes over tops; sprinkle with cheese. , Bake, uncovered, until bubbly, 25-30 minutes. Freeze option: Cool unbaked casseroles; cover and freeze up to 3 months. To use, partially thaw in refrigerator overnight. Remove from refrigerator 30 minutes before baking. Preheat oven to 350°. Cover and bake until bubbly, about 1-1/4 hours. Uncover; bake until cheese is melted and a thermometer inserted in center reads 165°, 5-10 minutes longer.

QUICK AND EASY SHEPHERD'S PIE CASSEROLE RECIPE
This is one of my "go-to" recipes when I need something quick. With only a few ingredients, it's the perfect weeknight meal.

- In a large skillet, brown ground beef and drain.
- Add both cans of condensed soups and green beans; season with salt and pepper. Mix together until all ingredients are combined.
- Pour ground beef mixture into large 9x13 casserole dish.
- Top ground beef mixture with mashed potatoes (homemade mashed potatoes are the best, but if you are in a hurry, instant potatoes will work fine! If you are in a BIG hurry, I have even thrown frozen tater tots on top and it works great!).
- Spread cheese on top of potatoes.
- Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

- Drain beef.

EASY SHEPHERD'S PIE WITH GARLIC ROMANO POTATOES
This is a very easy shepherd's (cottage) pie that's topped with wonderful garlic and Romano potatoes. You can change the ingredients to add almost anything you like. Kids love this, and it's even better after sitting for a day. You should have most of the ingredients on hand so no trips to the grocery! You can substitute any cheese for the Romano, as well.

- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Lightly grease a medium baking dish.
- Place the beef and onion in a skillet over medium heat. Season with rosemary and basil. Cook until beef is evenly brown; drain grease. Mix in tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, and mixed vegetables. Cook and stir until vegetables are heated through. Transfer to the baking dish.
- Place potatoes in a pot with enough water to cover, and bring to a boil. Cook 10 minutes, or until tender. Remove from heat and drain. Mix butter, Romano cheese, garlic, salt, oregano, and milk into the pot. Mash together with a potato masher. Top beef and vegetables with the mashed potatoes.
- Bake 30 minutes in the preheated oven. Turn oven to broil, and continue cooking 3 minutes, until potatoes are golden brown.

- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
- Spread the lemon pie filling onto the bottom of the prepared baking dish in an even layer with a spatula.
- Sprinkle half of the cake mix in an even layer over the lemon pie filling. Add the pieces of the cream cheese evenly over the cake mix, then top with the remaining cake mix in an even layer. Add the butter pieces, spaced out evenly over the top of final cake mix layer.

- Prepare mashed potatoes as usual (we add milk and butter).
- Brown lean ground beef over medium heat, drain excess fat.
- Add tomato sauce and seasonings, simmer for 15 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350F (175C).
- Layer meat mixture in bottom of 9" x 13" casserole dish.
- Spread vegetable evenly over meat mixture.
- Spread mashed potatoes evenly over vegetable layer. (Should fill casserole dish to rim.)
- Sprinkle cheese over top, and bake until cheese begins to bubble on edges (about 30 minutes).
