1 cup sugar
1 cup red table wine
4 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 cup vegetable oil (NOT olive oil!)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375º.
  • Mix wet ingredients into dry.
  • Knead until smooth.
  • Cut off piece of dough about the size of a pencil and roll between palms.
  • Knot the dough like making a pretzel.
  • Brush top of biscuits with milk or egg yolk.
  • Bake for about 10-12 minutes.

150 g All-purpose four
80 g Sugar
2 qts Egg
1 tbsp Butter
½ tsp Baking powder
Vanilla

Steps:

  • Add sugar and eggs to a bowl and beat using a beater until sugar melts.
  • Now add some vanilla to suit your taste, butter, and beat again.
  • Then add all-purpose flour and baking soda, beat again.
  • Put the batter into a piping bag.
  • Pipe the batter into a parchment paper layered baking tray.
  • Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 170c' for 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Bake the biscuits for around 20 minutes.
  • Leave the baked biscuits aside to cool.
  • Take out the cooled biscuits from the baking tray.
  • Now your homemade wine biscuits are ready to be served.

3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
3 tablespoons white sugar
1 cup dry red wine
½ cup vegetable oil
⅓ cup granulated sugar for decoration

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • In a large bowl combine the flour, baking powder and sugar. Add the wine and oil. Mix with a large fork and then with your hands.
  • Roll small pieces of dough between hands to make "logs" then shape into circles. The circles should be no bigger than the 2 inches in diameter. Roll cookies in extra sugar and place on cookie sheet.
  • Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 25 minutes or until slightly brown. After cookies cool they should be hard and crisp.

1/4 teaspoon salt
5 cups flour

Steps:

  • Add all ingredients in a bowl except flour; mix well.
  • Add flour one cup at a time to make moist dough.
  • Take 3-4 tablespoons of dough and roll into a tube long enough to make a pretzel shape.
  • Make into pretzel shape(doesn't have to be perfect, I have make spirals before too).
  • Repeat with rest of dough.
  • Bake on a cookie sheet, 2 inches apart, at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
  • Store in airtight container after cool.
