SPARKLING PINEAPPLE LEMONADE

Sparkling Pineapple Lemonade image

Lightly fizzy with lots of flavour. My boys love it. I refrigerate it in a 2 litre(1/2 gallon) pop bottle - keeps the fizz in it. Ds#1 calls it "special juice". This would be great in a punch bowl, too. Just add the ginger-ale when serving.

Number Of Ingredients 4

Ingredients

1/2 cup sugar
3 cups pineapple juice
1/2 cup lemon juice
1 liter ginger ale

Steps:

Stir together sugar and the juices until the sugar is dissolved.
Put in the pop bottle.
(I use a funnel).
Slowly pour in the ginger-ale.
Screw on the cover and LIGHTLY shake bottle to blend everything.
Keep refrigerated, or serve on ice.

Mix the lemon juice and raw honey until the honey is completely melted. You can substitute honey for sugar but it will taste different.
Add water to your taste. I used 3 cups of water but if you plan on adding ice cubes, reduce by 2 cups.
Strain the pineapple juice and add it to the mix. You can add pineapple chunks when serving the lemonade in glasses.
At this point you can either add all the Sprite in the pitcher or you can fill glasses half way with lemonade and continue filling with Sprite. I think the last option will make the lemonade a bit more sparkling especially if you serve it immediately.
