SPICY PAN-FRIED PORK CHOPS
Pan-fried pork chops with a fiery kick. *Extremely spicy.* I kind of just threw this together while I was messing around in the kitchen one day. The batter or marinade can be easily altered to appeal to anyone's taste. Again, these turn out very spicy, but still have a ton of flavor, not just that hot that leaves your mouth burning.

Steps:
- Combine onion, jalapeno peppers, habanero peppers, garlic, and Worcestershire in the bowl of a food processor; puree until smooth.
- Pour a thin layer of marinade in the bottom of a medium rectangular glass or ceramic container so the bottom is completely covered. Place 4 pork chops in the bowl and cover in marinade. Add last 4 pork chops and pour in remaining marinade, ensuring all pork chops are coated. Cover and refrigerate, 8 hours to overnight.
- Pour marinade and chops into a large saucepan. Add water and bring to a boil. Continue to boil, 10 to 12 minutes.
- Meanwhile, combine flour, onion soup mix, cayenne, garlic powder, and seasoned salt for batter in a small mixing bowl.
- Transfer boiled chops to a cutting board, softly pat with a paper towel to remove excess liquid, and coat with batter. Discard any remaining boiling liquid.
- Heat enough oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat that it fills the pan to 1/4 inch.
- Fry chops in the hot oil until golden brown, 1 to 2 minutes; flip and continue to cook until golden brown, 1 to 2 minutes more. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read 145 degrees F (63 degrees C).

SPICY PAN-FRIED NOODLES
Garlicky, gingery and as spicy as you dare to make it, this Asian-influenced pan-fried noodle dish comes together in minutes. Most of the ingredients are pantry staples, which means you can make it whenever you need a comforting noodle dish that comes with a bite. If you can't find the Chinese egg noodles (also called Hong Kong-style noodles), you can make this with rice noodles or soba. The key is to only boil them until they are halfway done. (They should be pliable but still firm in the center.) They will finish cooking when you pan-fry them.

Steps:
- In a small bowl, combine the scallions, soy sauce, ginger, rice wine or vinegar, sesame oil and salt. Let stand while you prepare the noodles.
- In a large pot of boiling water, cook noodles until they are halfway done according to package instructions. (They should still be quite firm.) Drain well and toss with 1/2 tablespoon of the peanut oil to keep them from sticking, and spread them out on a plate or baking sheet.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, warm the remaining 2 tablespoons of peanut oil. Add the garlic and cook until crisp and golden around the edges, 1 to 2 minutes. Add half the scallion mixture and stir-fry until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add noodles; stir-fry until noodles are hot and lightly coated with sauce, about 30 seconds. Add eggs, spinach or edamame if using, sriracha, and remaining scallion mixture and continue to stir-fry until the eggs are cooked, 1 to 2 minutes longer. Remove from heat and stir in lime juice. Garnish with cilantro and sesame seeds or peanuts.

8 WAYS TO MAKE CREAM DORY INCREDIBLY DELICIOUS
From yummy.ph
- Brush it with (coffee) butter. Butter and fish is a match made in heaven! The creamy butter is perfect as a sauce for fish and it's a common food pairing.
- Stack flavors and textures. Don't be intimidated by the look of this seemingly fancy looking fish fillet recipe. All it is is a pan-fried cream dory fish fillet topped with pesto.
- Mix flavors. There are so many flavors that make fish delicious, and sweet and sour is a duo that is timeless for good reason. The sweetness is obviously from sugar but in this case, some brown sugar is used for the added flavor of molasses.
- Add herbs, and top it with fruit. Take advantage of the many different herbs and spices available at your local supermarket! Fish will just taste better and the aromas will be amazing!
- Make it extremely crunchy. How do you like your crunchy fish? This recipe takes a cue from those from the United States south and uses cornmeal to add a delicious and tasty crunch to these coated fish fillets!
- Use fish instead. Gotta love the ingenuity of a recipe that can be used with any protein! Fish is always available in our country and with cream dory being so versatile and available all year, this version of the beef steak or Bistek Tagalog is genius!
- Spice it up, and cook it differently. Go Asian with this steamed fish omelet that's cooked in a llanera! This flavorful fish recipe is basically an omelet that's been seasoned with a sambal sauce, a spicy chili-garlic sauce, and it's further flavored with coconut milk.
- Coat it with something unique. Breakfast cornflakes are made for more than just breakfast, and this recipe proves it's versatility. For those days when you run out of breadcrumbs or just want another flavor to your crunchy fish fillets, grind up plain cornflakes and use that to make the crispy coating of these fillets.
