2 cups walnut halves
1/3 cup maple syrup
1/8 teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • Preheat a dry skillet over a medium-high heat. Add the walnuts, maple syrup and salt. Cook, stirring frequently, until syrup is caramelized and nuts are toasted, about 3 minutes. Let cool.

1 pound unsalted pecans
3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
4 tablespoons pure maple syrup
1 tablespoon light-brown sugar
1 teaspoon fresh chopped thyme
1 teaspoon coarse salt
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Place all ingredients in a large bowl and toss to combine. Spread nut mixture in a single layer on a rimmed baking sheet lined with a nonstick baking mat. Bake, stirring frequently, until browned, 12 to 15 minutes; let cool. Pecans can be stored at room temperature in an airtight container up one week.

  • Miz oil, syrup and salt in a bowl.
  • Add nuts and toss to coat.
  • Place in one layer on a baking sheet.
  • Bake at 350F until you smell the nuts, approximately 15-20 minutes.

3 T melted butter
1/4 cup maple syrup
1 T brown sugar
3/4 t salt
1/2 t cayenne pepper

Steps:

  • Set the oven at 375. Lightly butter a rimmed baking dish. In a bowl, toss the pecans with the melted butter, maple syrup, sugar,salt, adn cayenne. Transfer the nuts to the baking sheet. Bake, tossing often, for 10-12 minutes, until browned and fragrant. Cool on the baking sheet.
