2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons honey
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Peel and cut the sweet potatoes into 1-inch pieces and put in a 9 by 13 baking dish. In a small bowl whisk together olive oil, honey and lemon juice. Pour mixture over potatoes and toss to coat. Sprinkle with the salt, and bake, stirring occasionally, for about 1 hour, until potatoes are tender.

8 medium sweet potatoes (about 4 pounds)
2/3 cup packed brown sugar
4 teaspoons cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 cup orange juice
1/4 cup honey
3 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons water
2 tablespoons grated orange zest
1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Steps:

  • Place sweet potatoes in a Dutch oven and cover with water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 25-30 minutes or until tender. Drain. When potatoes are cool, peel and cut into 1/2-in. slices. Arrange in a greased shallow 3-qt. baking dish; set aside., In a large saucepan, combine the brown sugar, cornstarch, salt and cinnamon. Stir in the orange juice, honey, butter, water and orange zest. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Stir in walnuts. , Pour mixture over the potatoes. 3 sweet potatoes
2 tablespoons oil
1 tablespoon dried rosemary
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
fresh parsley, chopped, for serving

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200ºC).
  • Slice the top and bottom off of the sweet potatoes, and slice potatoes in half crosswise. Rest each half on the broader end, then slice 3 times vertically and horizontally. Turn the potatoes on their side and make 4 or five more slices, to form cubes.
  • Transfer the sweet potatoes to a baking sheet, then add the oil, rosemary, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat evenly.
  • Bake for 35-40 minutes, until the sweet potatoes are tender and starting to brown around the edges.
  • Let cool for 5 minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

3 tablespoons unsalted butter, more for the pan
3 tablespoons honey
1/4 cup orange juice
1/4 teaspoon cayenne
1/4 teaspoon cumin
1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika (regular is fine if you don't have smoked)
4 medium sweet potatoes, preferably the same size and shape, peeled, halved crosswise, and quartered lengthwise (2 lb. total)
kosher salt
fresh ground black pepper

Steps:

  • Heat the oven to 400°F Lightly butter a large Pyrex or ceramic baking dish that can hold the sweet potato wedges in one layer.
  • In a small saucepan, melt the butter. Whisk in the honey, orange juice, and spices. Put the sweet potatoes in the buttered baking dish, add the honey mixture, and toss the pieces well to coat them thoroughly. Arrange the sweet potatoes in a single layer; sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • Roast until the potatoes are browned and tender and the juices are bubbly and thickened, 45 to 55 minutes. To ensure even roasting, stir and baste several times with the pan juices, doing so more frequently toward the end of roasting. Serve at once.

  • In a small micorwave safe bowl combine butter, honey and lemon juice.
  • Microwave until butter melts, add cinnamon.
  • Place cubed potatoes in a large bowl and pour honey mixture over potatoes, toss to coat.
  • Place in a roasting pan, salt and bake for about 50 minutes, or until tender, stirring occasionally.

1 cup packed brown sugar
½ cup unsalted butter
¼ cup orange juice
½ teaspoon salt
4 whole cloves, or more to taste

Steps:

  • Place sweet potatoes into a large pot and cover with salted water; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until tender but not mushy, 18 to 20 minutes. Drain. Peel sweet potatoes and cut in half lengthwise. Discard skins.
  • Combine brown sugar, butter, orange juice, salt, and cloves in a large skillet or electric frying pan; bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes until syrupy. Arrange potato halves in the syrup and simmer for 20 to 25 minutes. Remove cloves from syrup before serving, if you wish.
