You're all set for sitting on the porch, rocking your cares away with this boozy take on the iconic Sweet Tea.

Ingredients

4 cups boiling water
1 cup sugar
12 black tea bags
6 cups cold water
3 cups crushed ice, plus more for serving
24 ounces bourbon (approximately one 750 milliliter bottle)
Garnish: 16 mint sprigs
Garnish: 16 lemon slices

Steps:

Combine the boiling water and sugar in a heatproof container and stir until the sugar is dissolved.
Add the tea bags and steep for 5 minutes. Remove tea bags and discard.
Pour the tea mixture into a heatproof pitcher or serving jar. Add the cold water, bourbon and ice. Stir well, and refrigerate until serving.
To serve, divide between 16 ice-filled highball or Old Fashioned glasses.
Garnish each glass with a lemon slice and a mint sprig.

6 to 12 small sprigs fresh mint
Ice

Steps:

In pitcher, mix tea, bourbon, lemon slices and mint sprigs.
Fill 2 lowball glasses with ice. Pour tea mixture over ice.

1 cup homemade sweet tea
1 oz bourbon
1 lemon wedge
mint leaves to garnish
8 bags black tea
3 cups boiling water
1/2 cup + 2 tbsp sugar (add more or less to taste)
10 mint leaves
3 cups cold water

Steps:

Add the tea, bourbon and lemon juice in a tall glass and stir. Top with ice, mint leaves and a lemon wedge. Serve ice cold
Boil 3 cups water, then remove from the heat and add 8 tea bags and mint leaves to steep.
Cover and let them sit for 15 minutes.
While the tea is still hot, add in the sugar and stir until dissolved.
Then add in the cool water and mix.
Pour the tea into a pitcher or tall jar to store in the refrigerator until cooled.
