THAI PEANUT DRESSING

Thai Peanut Dressing image

This makes a great sweet and savory sauce or salad dressing like the ones served at restaurants. It makes a great dip for fresh Thai or Vietnamese spring rolls. It's easy to make and I usually have all the ingredients in my cupboard. Garnish with mint leaves and chopped peanuts if desired.

THAI SALAD WITH CILANTRO LIME DRESSING

Thai Salad with Cilantro Lime Dressing image

I created this salad to replicate one I tried on a cruise several years ago. It goes over very well at family gatherings and potlucks year-round. We love the spice of the Thai chile, but if your family isn't into spice, feel free to leave it out. It will still be delicious! —Donna Gribbins, Shelbyville, Kentucky

THAI DRESSING

Thai Dressing image

A delicious easy recipe for Thai salad dressing. This can be thinned with extra chicken broth if it is too thick for your taste.

Provided by Chef TraceyMae

Categories     Salad Dressings

Time 17m

Yield 1 1/2 Cups, 4-6 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 10

1/2 cup hoisin sauce
1/2 cup peanut butter, smooth
3 tablespoons soy sauce, low-salt
1/4 cup chicken broth
3 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons sesame oil
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
2 tablespoons garlic, minced
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon Asian chili sauce

Steps:

  • NOTE: If you measure your oil on the spoon first, the honey will then slide right off it.
  • Use dark sesame oil which is used strictly for flavoring. The clear sesame oil will not give the intense flavor (but can be used ifyou are frying something.).
  • Combine all ingredients and bring to a boil.
  • This dressing is used for Thai Salad, but may be used on any kind of meat before grilling. It's especially good on Chinese pork sausage balls as an appetizer, or on pork tenderloin.
