- In 2-quart saucepan, mix sugar, cocoa, cornstarch and salt with whisk. Gradually stir in milk. Cook over medium heat 8 to 10 minutes, stirring constantly, until pudding boils and is thickened. Reduce heat to medium-low; cook 2 minutes longer.
- Remove from heat; gently stir in butter and vanilla until butter is melted. Pour into large bowl; cover surface directly with plastic wrap to prevent skin from forming. Cool 10 minutes. Serve warm, or refrigerate until serving time. Garnish with whipped cream.

- Mix first layer ingredients together and spread into a 9x13-inch pan.
- Bake at 325°F for 15 minutes.
- Cool.
- Mix together second layer and spread onto cooled first layer.
- Mix together third layer and spread on and refrigerate.
- Top with softened Cool Whip just before serving.
- Enjoy!

- Put the chocolate in a heatproof bowl. In a medium saucepan, combine the heavy cream with the remaining 1 1/2 cups of milk and 1/4 cup of sugar and bring just to a simmer over moderately high heat, stirring. Reduce the heat to moderately low and stir in the cocoa paste. Whisking constantly, boil the mixture for 1 minute. Strain the mixture over the chocolate in the bowl. Add the vanilla and stir until the pudding is smooth.
