Steps:

  • Spread 12 slices white and/or pumpernickel bread with mayonnaise. Top half of the bread with sliced tomato and cucumber or avocado. Season with salt and pepper and cover with the remaining bread. Trim off the crusts and slice the sandwiches in half. Pack in an airtight container or wrap in plastic wrap.

  • Toast bread in toaster oven or grill pan. Layer 1/3 cup cheese, Marie's Thousand Island dressing, and tomato slices evenly over the bread slices. Top with the remaining cheese. Grill or broil until cheese has melted, about 3 minutes. Sprinkle with green onions.

2 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup sour cream
1 tablespoon oregano, chopped
salt and pepper
8 slices firm white bread (thin slices)
2 tomatoes, cut into thin slices

Steps:

  • Combine the cream cheese, sour cream and oregano in a small bowl and mix well. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Trim the crusts from the bread. Spread the cream cheese mixture on the bread slices. Arrange the tomatoes on 1/2 the bread slices. Top with the remaining bread slices.
  • Cut each sandwich into 3 equal strips.
