How to make Trisha Yearwood's Sausage Hors d'Oeuvres

Number Of Ingredients 4

1 lb. spicy pork sausage, such as Jimmy Dean
10 oz. cheddar cheese, grated
3 cups baking mix, such as Bisquick
Kosher salt and pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Using a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, combine the sausage, cheese, and baking mix and beat on low speed until blended. Add pepper to taste.
  • Shape the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them 1 inch apart on an ungreased cookies sheet.
  • Bake until browned, about 20 minutes.
  • Drain on paper towels, sprinkle with salt and serve hot, warm, or at room temperature. Can be made in advance, frozen and reheated.
