Tropical Honey Snack Mix Recipes

HONEY ROSEMARY SNACK MIX

Steps:

• Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
• Place the butter and honey in a small saucepan over medium heat and cook until the butter is melted, about 3 minutes. Stir in the rosemary and salt.
• Combine the cereal and crackers in a large bowl. Pour over the melted butter and toss well to coat, then pour the snack mix onto the prepared baking sheet. Bake on the center rack, stirring once or twice during baking, until the snack mix is toasted and fragrant, about 40 minutes. Allow to cool before storing in an airtight container.

TROPICAL HONEY SNACK MIX

Steps:

• Heat oven to 350°F. Line 15x10x1-inch pan with foil. In 12-inch skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in brown sugar, honey, ginger and salt. Cook about 2 minutes, stirring constantly, until bubbly.
• Add remaining ingredients. Cook about 1 minute, stirring constantly, until all ingredients are coated. Spread mixture in thin layer in foil-lined pan.
• Bake 10 to 12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until bubbly and lightly browned. On unlined cookie sheet, spread mixture in thin layer. Cool completely, about 30 minutes. Store in airtight container up to 2 weeks.

TROPICAL SNACK MIX

Steps:

• Combine cashews, pineapple, mango, pretzels, macadamia nuts, coconut flakes, and cranberries in a large bowl; stir to combine.
• Add honey and butter to a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook and stir until butter is melted, about 1 minute. You also could do this in the microwave.
• Drizzle honey-butter over snack mix and sprinkle salt over the top. Stir well to make sure everything is well coated.

• In large bowl, combine Crispix, pretzels and pecans. In small saucepan, combine butter and honey. Cook and stir until butter is melted and mixture is smooth. Pour over cereal mixture and mix well.
• Transfer to 2 greased 15x10x1 inch baking pans. Bake at 325 for 15 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes. Cool on wire racks. Store in airtight container.

SWEET HONEY-GLAZED SNACK MIX

Steps:

• In a large bowl, combine the Crispix, pretzels and pecans. In a small saucepan, combine butter and honey. Cook and stir until butter is melted and mixture is smooth. Pour over cereal mixture and mix well. , Transfer to two greased 15x10x1-in. baking pans. Bake at 325° for 15 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes. Cool on wire racks. Store in an airtight container.

Steps:

• In a large bowl, combine the cereal, pretzels and pecans; set aside. In a small saucepan, melt butter; stir in honey until well blended. Pour over cereal mixture and stir to coat. Spread into two greased 15x10x1-in. baking pans. Bake at 350° for 12-15 minutes or until mixture is lightly glazed, stirring occasionally. Cool in pan for 3 minutes; remove from pan and spread on waxed paper to cool completely. Store in an airtight container.

TROPICAL SNACK MIX

Steps:

• Pop the popcorn on the stove or skillet. DO NOT air pop.
• Pour into a large bowl that you can seal and let the popcorn cool.
• Add pineapple, raisins, almonds, and sunflower seeds to popcorn. Stir thoroughly.
• While popcorn is cooling, melt butter and mix in brown sugar and cinnamon to taste.
• Boil for 1 minute only.
• Remove from heat and add flax seed and vanilla; mix well.
• Pour over the popcorn mixture and use a rubber spatula to mix from the bottom up, like folding in ingredients. The seeds tend to fall to the bottom.
• Let dry and enjoy. Makes a big bowl.
