OLD YELLER COCKTAIL
Steps:
- Combine the rum, orange juice, banana liqueur and frozen pineapple in a blender and process until a smoothie consistency. Add more frozen pineapple if too thin and add more orange juice if too thick. Garnish with orange slices.
YELLOW BIRD COCKTAIL
Steps:
- Gather the ingredients.
- Squeeze the juice of half a lime into a cocktail shaker with ice.
- Add the orange juice, both rums, and Galliano.
- Shake well .
- Strain into a collins glass filled with crushed ice.
- Garnish with a cherry and a sprig of mint, if you like.

YELLOWBIRD (COCKTAIL)
Bird was called Yellowbird by her father, and he sung her the song of the same name by the Mills Brothers. Now here's a tasty drink from the Caribbean Islands of the same name. Drink with thoughts of laying in a hammock on a sandy beach... under a banana tree. NOTE: I went on a Carnival cruise in July 2009... the 2nd day drink special were these and they were sooo good! They made them using pineapple juice, so I've edited the recipe to use that in lieu of lemon juice. Definitely better!

- To a drink shaker, Mix the first 5 ingredients and shake well.
- Strain (or pour) into a cocktail glass and if desired, top with a splash of soda. Garnish with lemon slice and serve.

PUERTO RICAN YELLOW BIRD COCKTAIL
I visited the Bacardi distillery in Puerto Rico and it was a really neat tour. They had so many different kinds of rum, that my hubby looked like he was in heaven! This is a refreshing tropical drink that uses Bacardi light rum. This recipe is from Carnival Cruise Line, which is who we took our Caribbean cruise with. Enjoy!
