Easy and spooky fun-to-make graveyard brownies with zombie hands and cookie tombstones! You can make them with just a few ingredients from the baking aisle.

Water, vegetable oil and eggs called for on brownie mix box
1 container Betty Crocker™ Rich & Creamy chocolate frosting
15 chocolate wafer cookies, coarsely crushed (from 9-oz package)
1 tube (0.68 oz) Betty Crocker™ white decorating gel
1 package Dallies™ Halloween candy decor (6 pieces )
1 package Dallies™ gummy zombie hands

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F. Make brownies as directed on box for 13x9-inch pan. Cool 1 hour before frosting.
  • Frost brownies. Coarsely crush 10 of the chocolate wafer cookies; sprinkle over frosted brownies.
  • Cut 5 chocolate wafer cookies to look like tombstones by carefully cutting about 3/8 inch off two opposite sides of each cookie.
  • Using white decorating gel, write on tombstones.
  • Place tombstones on brownies sticking into frosting. Decorate as desired. Cut into 6 rows by 4 rows.

1 (18.25 ounce) package chocolate cake mix
2 (16 ounce) packages vanilla frosting
¾ cup chocolate sandwich cookie crumbs
24 chocolate covered graham cracker cookies

Steps:

  • Prepare and bake cake mix according to package directions for cupcakes.
  • In a medium bowl stir 1 package of frosting with the cookie crumbs. Frost cooled cupcakes.
  • Fill a pastry bag, fitted with a plain tip, with remaining white frosting. Write R.I.P. on each chocolate covered graham cracker cookie. Stand a decorated cookie on top of each cupcake so that it looks like a tombstone. Place the cupcakes on a large cookie sheet that has been covered with green paper. Place paper ghosts and bats randomly through the graveyard. Serve!

"SPOOKY GRAVEYARD" BROWNIES



Even the youngest goblins can help bake and decorate these delicious brownies. The only trick is these brownies make excellent Halloween treats.

1 package Betty Crocker™ Supreme walnut or chocolate chunk brownie mix
3 tablespoons water
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 eggs
1 cup granola, (without dried fruit)
5 finger-shaped vanilla sandwich cookies
Candy pumpkins, gumdrop "cats" or other assorted Halloween candies

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F. Line 13x9-inch rectangular pan with aluminum foil, leaving edge of foil above rim of pan; grease bottom only of foil.
  • Stir brownie mix, water, oil and eggs in medium bowl, using spoon, until well blended. Spread in pan. Sprinkle granola over brownies, breaking up any large pieces.
  • Bake 24 to 28 minues or until toothpick inserted 2 inches from side of pan comes or almost clean.
  • Immediately after removing brownies from oven, randomly press cookies halfway into brownies to look like gravestones. Cool completely.
  • Lift out foil and uncut brownies for easier decorating. Carefully remove foil. Arrange candies on top to complete "graveyard" scene. For 24 brownies, cut into 6 rows by 4 rows. Store tightly covered.

3 pretzel rods
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips, melted, plus 1 tablespoon unmelted chips
6 ounces white candy coating, melted
3 lollipop sticks
1 can (16 ounces) chocolate frosting
2/3 cup confectioners' sugar
1 tablespoon baking cocoa
Black paste food coloring
Vanilla frosting
1 cup chocolate wafer crumbs
1/4 cup sweetened shredded coconut, toasted

Steps:

  • Line a 13x9-in. baking pan and an 8-in. square baking dish with foil, and grease the foil. Prepare brownie batter and bake according to package directions, using prepared pans. Cool on wire racks., Break pretzel rods into various sizes; dip into melted chocolate. Arrange into a tree shape on a waxed paper-lined baking sheet., Place melted white candy coating in a heavy-duty resealable plastic bag; cut a small hole in a corner of bag. Outline three small ghosts on waxed paper. Fill in ghost outlines, adding a lollipop stick to each for support. Place unmelted chocolate chips on ghosts for eyes. Let dry completely., Using foil, lift brownies out of pans. Discard foil; place 8-in. square brownie on a large serving plate for graveyard. Spread chocolate frosting over top and sides., Cut remaining brownie into 3-in.x1-1/2-in. tombstone shapes. Combine confectioners' sugar and cocoa; sprinkle over tombstones. With black food coloring, tint vanilla frosting gray; decorate tombstones., Using toothpicks, insert three tombstones into graveyard. Insert tree into graveyard (support as needed with brownie scraps). Insert ghosts into graveyard; sprinkle with wafer crumbs for dirt and coconut for grass. Assorted decorations: 3 oblong vanilla creme-filled sandwich cookies, decorating gel, 5 candy pumpkins, 10 candy corn pieces

Steps:

  • Beat pudding mixes and milk in large bowl with whisk 2 min. Let stand 5 min. Stir in 3 cups COOL WHIP and half the cookie crumbs. Spread into 13x9-inch dish; sprinkle with remaining crumbs.
  • Refrigerate 1 hour. Meanwhile, decorate sandwich cookies with decorating gel to resemble tombstones.
  • Insert decorated cookies into top of dessert just before serving. Add candies. Drop large spoonfuls of remaining COOL WHIP onto dessert to resemble ghosts.

2 pkg. (4 oz. each) BAKER'S Unsweetened Chocolate, divided
3/4 cup butter or margarine
2 cups granulated sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup flour
1 Tbsp. decorating gel
24 peanut butter sandwich cookies
1 tub (8 oz.) COOL WHIP Whipped Topping (Do not thaw.)
1 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup BAKER'S ANGEL FLAKE Coconut, tinted green

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F.
  • Line 13x9-inch pan with foil, with ends of foil extending over sides; spray with cooking spray. Microwave 4 oz. chocolate and butter in large microwaveable bowl on HIGH 2 min. or until butter is melted; stir until chocolate is completely melted and mixture is well blended. Stir in granulated sugar. Blend in eggs and vanilla. Add flour; mix well. Spread onto bottom of prepared pan.
  • Bake 30 to 35 min. or until toothpick inserted in center comes out with fudgy crumbs. (Do not overbake.) Cool completely in pan. Meanwhile, use decorating gel to decorate cookies to resemble gravestones.
  • Microwave remaining chocolate and COOL WHIP in microwaveable bowl on HIGH 1-1/2 to 2 min. or until chocolate is completely melted; stir until blended. Add powdered sugar; mix well.
  • Use foil handles to lift dessert from pan; spread with frosting. Stand cookies in brownies; add small amount of coconut at base of each to resemble grass.
