Amazing Banana Sorbet image

This recipe is great for hot summer afternoons, or when you're just craving a cold snack! It is easy to make and uses only 3 simple ingredients. For one cup of mashed bananas, you will need about 3 bananas.

1 cup white sugar
1 cup water
1 cup mashed banana

Steps:

  • In a small saucepan, stir together sugar and water. Bring to a boil, then remove from heat and allow to cool.
  • When the sugar syrup is cool, stir in bananas. Pour into a freezer - safe baking dish. Freeze for 3 to 4 hours, until set at the edges.
  • Remove from the freezer and transfer to a mixing bowl. Use an electric mixer to beat until smooth. Return to the freezer until gently set, at least 2 hours.

Steps:

  • Chop up your banana and strawberries and place on a baking sheet lined with waxed paper. freeze for 2 hours.
  • Place your frozen berries and banana chunks into food processor with water and lemon juice.
  • Pulse until smooth and creamy.
  • Serve immediately or freeze up to 2 weeks in Tupperware.

1 cup banana (peel and chop bananas into 2-inch chunks and freeze)
1 -2 tablespoon raspberries (fresh or frozen)
1 tablespoon kefir or 1 tablespoon milk

Steps:

  • Put everything into mini food processor, pulse about 5 times to chop. Than blend for about 2 seconds at a time until consistency of soft serve. Add more kefir or milk if desired. in tiny amounts, 1 teaspoon at a time.
  • Remove food processor lid and blade. Use an oven mitt to hold the processor bowl, use a spoon to enjoy.

2 sliced bananas
1 tablespoon honey
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice

Steps:

  • Place all ingredients in food processor or blender and blend until smooth.
  • Place in plastic container and freeze at least 2 hours.
  • Take out partially frozen fruit and stir well to break up ice crystals.
  • Return to freezer to completely freeze.
  • Let fruit sorbet stand 15 minutes at room temperature before serving.

4 cups (1 1/4 pounds) raspberries (red, black, or white) or blueberries
1 cup Simple Syrup for Berry Sorbet

Steps:

  • Puree berries and 1/3 cup water in a blender. Pour through a coarse sieve into a bowl. If using blueberries, strain again, through a fine sieve. (You should have 2 cups.) Stir in simple syrup.
  • Refrigerate until cold, about 1 hour. Process in an ice cream maker according to manufacturer's instructions, about 25 minutes. Transfer sorbet to an airtight container, and freeze until it hardens, at least 1 hour and up to 3 days.
