  • Working in batches, place the bundles in the air fryer basket and cook for 5 to 7 minutes or until bacon is crisp.

Extra-virgin olive oil
Freshly ground black pepper
Salt
1 pound hickory smoked bacon (do not use thick cut)

Steps:

  • Preheat your grill to medium-high direct heat.
  • Trim the asparagus of the woody ends. Place on a sheet tray and drizzle with olive oil. Season with freshly ground black pepper and salt.
  • Wrap bacon slices around each asparagus spear. Skewer both ends of asparagus on each side to secure the bacon. Add 3 to 4 asparagus to each skewer.
  • Grill skewers on direct heat until the asparagus is tender and the bacon is crisp about 15 minutes; halfway through the grilling flip the asparagus. Transfer to a platter, remove the skewers and serve.

  • Wash and trim asparagus spears.
  • Cut bacon strips in half crosswise.
  • Wrap one-half strip bacon around each asparagus spear, leaving tip and end exposed.

Steps:

  • Wash and trim the ends of your asparagus.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees F.
  • Wrap one slice of bacon around one stalk of asparagus.
  • Lay your bacon-wrapped asparagus in your air fryer. If possible lay the ends of your bacon down flat to help keep them from curling. Leave space between your stalks so the air can circulate around them. I tried to do my first batch with my thicker stalks and they cooked for 12 minutes. Then in my second batch, I cooked my thinner ones for 10 minutes.

  • Wash and trim off the woody part of the asparagus spears. Tip: If you hold an asparagus spear between two fingers and bend it lightly, the asparagus will naturally bend at the part that needs to be removed. You can snap it right off. Dry the asparagus with paper towels.
