SHERRY APPLE PORK CHOPS

Steps:
- In a large skillet, brown chops, about 2 minutes each side; reserve.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Arrange apple slices in the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish. Sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon. Dot with butter or margarine. Top with browned pork chops and season with salt and pepper to taste. Pour sherry over all, cover and bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour or until tender and the internal temperature has reached 145 degrees F (63 degrees C).

Steps:
- Brown the chops in a skillet.
- Heat oven to 350°F degrees.
- Arrange apple slice in the bottom of an oven proof pan large enough to hold the 6 chops in a single layer. Sprinkle apples with the brown sugar& cinnamon, dot with the butter.
- Top with the chops.
- Pour in the sherry.
- Cover with foil or lid.
- Bake for approx 1 hour or until tender.

- Sprinkle pork chops with thyme and salt. In a large skillet, cook pork in oil for 3-4 minutes on each side or until a thermometer reads 145°. I started making this dish a few years ago after apple picking with my children. I was looking for something different to do with some of the apples and this sure is delicious! We all enjoy it and hope you do too!!

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- Heat oil in large skillet. Saute onion in oil for 1 minute, or until tender. Remove onion and set aside. Brown pork chops on both sides in oil.
- Place chops in an 8x12 inch baking dish and sprinkle them with salt and pepper. Cover the chops with the apples and cooked onion.
- In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, mustard, cloves and water. Pour over chops. Cover and bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 45 minutes. Enjoy!

- Sprinkle pork chops with salt. In a large skillet, brown chops in oil; set aside. Place apples and raisins in a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking dish. - Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Heat the vegetable oil in a large, ovenproof skillet over medium-high heat. Add the pork chops and sear until golden brown, about 1 1/2 minutes per side. Place the pork chops on a plate and set aside.
- Add the onion to the skillet and cook, stirring often, for 2 minutes. Add the sherry and the cider and cook, stirring contantly, scraping up any browned bits stuck to the bottom of the pan. Add the apples, 1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper to taste. Lower the heat and cook for 5 minutes.
- Push the pork chops down into the apple mixture and pour any juices accumulated on the plate over them. Cover with foil and bake until the pork chops are tender and cooked through, about 15 minutes. Uncover and season with additional salt and pepper to taste. Divide among 4 plates and serve.
