Made with hearty peanut butter, cocoa powder, creamy yogurt, ripe bananas, and the secret ingredient- Bob's Red Mill Scottish Oatmeal- this is a smoothie worthy of Dad.

1/2 cup plain whole milk yogurt
2 bananas (ripe)
2 TB unsweetened cocoa powder
2 TB peanut butter (the only ingredients should be: peanuts and sometimes salt)
1/4 cup scottish oatmeal
2 TB honey
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
1 cup ice (crushed)

Steps:

  • The night before (or at least four hours before) soak the Bob's Red Mill Scottish Oats in 1/4 cup warm water. Allow the oats to sit on the counter. Before making the smoothie, strain any extra water from the oats.
  • In a high-speed blender combine the Bob's Red Mill Scottish Oats, yogurt, bananas, cocoa powder, peanut butter, honey, and vanilla extract. Blend together. Add the ice, blend until creamy and thick.
