1 pound boneless beef sirloin steak, cut into thin strips
1 tablespoon canola oil
3 cups fresh broccoli florets
1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed tomato soup, undiluted
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon cider vinegar
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Hot cooked rice, optional

Steps:

  • In a large skillet, saute beef in oil until no longer pink; drain. Remove and keep warm. In the same skillet, combine the broccoli, soup, soy sauce, vinegar and garlic powder. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 3-4 minutes or until broccoli is crisp-tender. Stir in beef; heat through. Serve with rice if desired.

1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
1/4 cup cornstarch
3 tablespoons sherry
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 pound flank steak, trimmed of fat and sliced very thin against the grain
3 tablespoons peanut or olive oil
1 pound broccoli florets
1/4 cup beef broth
1/4 cup oyster sauce
Salt as needed (use sparingly)
Chow Mein, for serving

Steps:

  • In a bowl, mix together the soy sauce, cornstarch, sherry, brown sugar, ginger and garlic. Pour half the liquid over the sliced meat in a bowl and toss with your hands. Reserve the other half of the liquid and set aside.
  • Heat the oil in a heavy skillet (iron is best) or wok over high heat. Add the broccoli and stir for a minute. Remove to a plate.
  • Allow the skillet to get very hot again. With tongs, add the meat in a single layer. Spread out the meat as you add it to skillet, but do not stir for a good minute. (You want the meat to get as brown as possible in as short amount a time as possible.) Turn the meat to the other side and cook for another 30 seconds. Remove to a clean plate.
  • Pour the reserved sauce into the skillet along with the beef broth and oyster sauce. Cook over high heat until it starts to thicken. Add the beef and broccoli back into the skillet and toss to coat. Season with salt if needed
  • Serve over Chow Mein.

Teriyaki Beef and Broccoli Skillet is a fast, delicious, and healthy meal, the whole family will love. Every time I make this recipe, my family goes crazy over it. It definitely feeds a crowd. The best part about this dish is the sauce, and the honey drizzle over the beef.

2 cups broccoli (chopped)
2 Tablespoons olive oil
½ teaspoon salt
2 pounds steak (cut into bite sized pieces)
2 Tablespoons Honey
½ cup teriyaki sauce
¼ cup low sodium soy sauce
⅓ cup honey
3 green onions (sliced, optional topping)
2 cups cooked brown rice (optional)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to high broil.
  • Cover a baking sheet with foil, and add the chopped broccoli and olive oil. Toss until broccoli is covered in oil.
  • Sprinkle with salt.
  • Place in the oven and let broil for 4-5 minutes, flipping broccoli halfway through.
  • Drizzle the honey over the beef. And cook until desired doneness (I like mine pink in the middle).
  • Remove from heat.
  • In a small bowl, combine the teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, and honey until well combined.
  • Combine the beef and broccoli and drizzle the teriyaki glaze on top.
  • Serve immediately.
  • Top with optional green onions and serve over cooked brown rice (optional)

This is my go-to recipe when I want Chinese food without having to go out. Very easy and delicious. Substituting chicken for the beef works great too. Serve over rice.

⅓ cup oyster sauce
2 teaspoons Asian (toasted) sesame oil
⅓ cup sherry
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon white sugar
1 teaspoon cornstarch
¾ pound beef round steak, cut into 1/8-inch thick strips
3 tablespoons vegetable oil, plus more if needed
1 thin slice of fresh ginger root
1 clove garlic, peeled and smashed
1 pound broccoli, cut into florets

Steps:

  • Whisk together the oyster sauce, sesame oil, sherry, soy sauce, sugar, and cornstarch in a bowl, and stir until the sugar has dissolved. Place the steak pieces into a shallow bowl, pour the oyster sauce mixture over the meat, stir to coat well, and marinate for at least 30 minutes in refrigerator.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat, and stir in the ginger and garlic. Let them sizzle in the hot oil for about 1 minute to flavor the oil, then remove and discard. Stir in the broccoli, and toss and stir in the hot oil until bright green and almost tender, 5 to 7 minutes. Remove the broccoli from the wok, and set aside.
  • Pour a little more oil into the wok, if needed, and stir and toss the beef with the marinade until the sauce forms a glaze on the beef, and the meat is no longer pink, about 5 minutes. Return the cooked broccoli to the wok, and stir until the meat and broccoli are heated through, about 3 minutes.
