Skip takeout and make this delicious Shrimp Fried Rice Recipe at home in minutes. The shrimp and veggies have the best flavor to make the perfect meal.

1 lb large shrimp ((raw, detailed and devained))
3 larges eggs (light beaten)
2 tablespoon sesame oil
2 tablespoon vegetable oil
4 cups cooked rice
3 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup frozen peas and diced carrots blend
Green Onions (sliced)

Steps:

  • Heat the vegetable oil and the sesame oil in a large skillet over medium high heat.
  • Then add in the shrimp and carrots and peas blend in the skillet and sauté them for about 3-5 minutes or until the vegetables are soft and the shrimp are cooked through (pink).
  • Remove the shrimp and vegetables from the skillet to a separate plate. Then pour in the eggs.
  • Scramble the eggs. Push the eggs to one side of the pan.
  • Then add in the rice, soy sauce, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Sauté the rice for 3-4 mintues until slightly browned and combined with the seasonings mixture. Then stir in the scrambled eggs, vegetable and shrimp.
  • Stir for a few minutes until rice is heated through.
  • Top with sliced green onions.

2 tablespoons sesame oil
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 pound uncooked medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 cup frozen peas and carrots
½ cup frozen corn
2 cloves garlic, finely minced, or more to taste
3 large eggs, lightly beaten
4 cups cooked rice
3 tablespoons thinly sliced green onions
3 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce, or more to taste
½ teaspoon salt, or to taste
½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, or to taste

Steps:

  • Heat sesame oil and olive oil in a large nonstick skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and cook until they are bright pink on the outside and the meat is opaque, about 3 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  • Remove shrimp from the skillet using a slotted spoon, allowing oils and cooking juices to remain in the skillet. Place shrimp on a plate and set aside.
  • Add peas and carrots and corn to the skillet and cook, stirring intermittently, until vegetables begin to soften, about 2 minutes. Add garlic; cook and stir for 1 minute. Push vegetables to the side of the skillet, pour eggs into the other side, and cook to scramble, stirring as necessary, 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Stir shrimp, rice, and green onions into the skillet. Drizzle evenly with soy sauce, season with salt and pepper, and stir to combine. Cook until shrimp is reheated through, about 2 minutes.

1 ½ cups uncooked white rice
3 cups water
4 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 cup fresh bean sprouts
½ cup chopped onion
1 ½ cups cooked medium shrimp, peeled and deveined without tail
¼ cup chopped green onion
2 eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
4 tablespoons soy sauce
¼ teaspoon sesame oil

Steps:

  • In a saucepan bring water to a boil. Add rice and stir. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 20 minutes. Set aside and allow rice to cool.
  • Heat a large skillet or wok for 2 minutes. When the skillet or wok is hot, pour in vegetable oil, bean sprouts and onions. Mix well and cook for 3 minutes.
  • Mix in cooled rice and shrimp and cook for another 3 minutes. Stirring constantly.
  • Mix in green onions, eggs, salt, pepper, soy sauce and sesame oil. Cook for another 4 minutes, stirring continuously, until eggs are cooked and everything is blended evenly.

Growing up in Manhattan, I got spoiled by authentic Chinatown fried rice. Now living in the south, I've yet to find a restaurant that serves fried rice as good as I grew up with. The combination of ingredients in this recipe is so fantastic, I now prefer to make my own fried rice at home.-Katherine White, Clemmons, North Carolina

1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons sesame oil, divided
1 tablespoon minced fresh gingerroot
3 garlic cloves, minced
1/8 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1 pound uncooked medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 tablespoons canola oil, divided
1 small onion, chopped
1 small sweet red pepper, chopped
4 cups cold cooked rice
1/4 teaspoon salt
4 green onions, sliced
1/3 cup minced fresh cilantro

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, combine the soy sauce, 2 tablespoons sesame oil, ginger, garlic and pepper flakes. Transfer 3 tablespoons to a large resealable plastic bag; add shrimp. Seal bag and turn to coat; refrigerate for 30 minutes. Set aside remaining soy sauce mixture. , In a large skillet or wok, stir-fry onion and pepper in 1 tablespoon canola oil and 1 teaspoon sesame oil for 4-6 minutes or until crisp-tender. Remove and set aside., Drain shrimp and discard marinade. In the same skillet, stir-fry shrimp in remaining canola and sesame oil for 5-6 minutes or until they turn pink. 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon cornstarch
1 1/2 teaspoons water
6 ounces small shrimp, uncooked, shelled and deveined
4 ounces ham, diced
1 medium onion, diced
2 green onions, diced
2 eggs
1/2 cup peas
4 cups rice, cooked & cold
6 tablespoons vegetable oil

Steps:

  • Combine cornstarch and water. Mix with 1st four ingredients and marinate shrimp for 15 minutes.
  • Beat the eggs lightly with chopsticks and add a dash of salt and pepper.
  • Heat wok and add 1 tbsp oil. Pour 1/2 egg mixture into wok and cook over medium heat, turning once. Cook the other half the same way. Cut the egg into small strips and set aside.
  • Add 2 tbsp oil to wok and stir-fry the onion and shrimp on hight heat for a few moments. Remove and set aside.
  • Repeat for ham and green peas.
  • Add 2 tbsp oil, turn down heat to medium and stir-fry rice. Add a bit of oyster sauce and soy sauce, if desired.
  • Combine all the ingredients and stir-fry to blend.
  • Enjoy!
