Charlie Browns Party Mix Recipes

PARTY MIX

Steps:

• Preheat the oven to 250 degrees F.
• Dump the corn, wheat and rice cereal into a large mixing bowl. Add the pretzel sticks and nuts.
• In a microwave-safe bowl, add the butter, Worcestershire, seasoned salt, paprika, chili powder, onion powder, hot sauce and garlic and microwave until the butter is melted. Stir together and toss into the cereal mixture, stirring as you go.
• Transfer the mixture to 1 or 2 baking sheets and bake for 1 hour 15 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes. Let cool and store in an airtight container.
• Grab a handful every 40 minutes. Eat. Spoil your appetite.

CHARLIE BROWN PIE

Steps:

• Place peanut butter in a microwave-safe bowl; heat in microwave until smooth and creamy, 20 to 30 seconds. Stir graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and butter into peanut butter until evenly combined. Transfer to a 9x13-inch baking dish and press to form a crust. Refrigerate until chilled, about 2 hours.
• Beat milk and pudding mix together in a bowl until thick and creamy; pour over crust. Top pie with whipped topping to serve.

CHARLIE BROWN'S TRADITIONAL PARTY MIX

Steps:

• Microwave Directions: In large microwave-safe bowl melt margarine on high 30 to 45 seconds. Stir in seasoning pack. Gradually add cereals, nuts, and pretzels, stirring until all pieces are evenly coated. Microwave on high 3 to 3 1/2 minutes, stirring every minute. Spread on absorbent paper to cool. Store in airtight container.
• Conventional: Preheat oven to 225 degrees. In 2 quart baking dish melt margarine in oven. Stir in seasoning pack. Gradually add cereals, nuts and pretzels, stirring until all pieces are evenly coated. Bake 30 minutes.
• Store in air tight conainer.

GARLIC-RANCH PARTY MIX

Steps:

• Preheat the oven to 250 degrees F. Spray a baking sheet with nonstick spray.
• To make the spice mix, whisk together the buttermilk powder, garlic powder, onion powder, dried chives, dried dill, dried parsley, dried oregano, dried basil, paprika, salt and pepper in a small bowl. Set aside.
• In a separate bowl, mix the butter, sugar and mustard until combined. Set aside.
• Add the cereal squares, pretzel sticks, nuts, pita chips and cheese squares to a large bowl. Add all but 2 tablespoons of the melted butter mixture and toss to coat evenly. Sprinkle with all but 1 tablespoon of the spice mix and toss to combine.
• Spread the coated cereal mix onto the prepared baking sheet. Bake, stirring every 10 to 15 minutes, until toasty and crispy, about 50 minutes.
• When the mixture comes out of the oven, pour the popcorn into a large bowl and toss with the remaining butter mixture and seasoning mixture. Add the toasted cereal mix and mix thoroughly. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.

CHARLIE BROWN'S PARTY MIX

Steps:

• In large microwave-safe bowl, melt margarine on HIGH 1 minute. Stir in seasoned salt and Worcestershire sauce. Gradually add cereals, nuts and pretzels, stirring until all pieces are evenly coated. Microwave on HIGH 5 to 6 minutes, stirring every 2 minutes. Spread on absorbent paper to cool. Store in airtight container.

CHARLIE BROWN COOKIES

Steps:

• In a double boiler, melt the butter and chocolate until no clumps of chocolate remain.
• Meanwhile sift the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt in a medium bowl. In a large bowl mix the eggs, sugar and vanilla until thoroughly combined. When melted, pour the chocolate and butter slowly into the egg mixture while stirring. Be careful not to add the chocolate too fast, or the eggs could cook. Mix well.
• Add the sifted dry ingredients, and mix until completely incorporated. Scrape the sides and bottom of the bowl to insure that any butter or flour pockets are incorporated.
• Add the peanut butter chips and mix until evenly distributed in the dough. Be sure to scrape the bottom of the bowl so every cookie gets some goodies!
• Scoop the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment or wax paper.
• Chill the scooped cookies in the freezer or refrigerator for 30 minutes.
• Bake at 325 degrees for about 16 minutes. The cookies will appear cracked with large fissures across the tops when finished.
