- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
- Spread sauerkraut into bottom of a 9-inch square glass baking dish.
- Stir reserved liquid from sauerkraut, brown mustard, brown sugar, celery seed, and black pepper together in a bowl; drizzle over sauerkraut. Arrange sausage slices in a layer over the sauerkraut and sauce. Loosely pile frozen french fries atop the sausage.
- Bake in preheated oven until the french fries are lightly browned, 20 to 30 minutes.

- In a Dutch oven, cook and crumble bratwurst with onion and carrot over medium heat until meat is no longer pink, 5-7 minutes; drain. , Stir in beans, jalapeno, pepper and broth; bring to a boil. Whisk together flour and 1/2 cup milk until smooth; stir into soup. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly; cook and stir until thickened, about 5 minutes. Gradually stir in remaining milk. Add cheese; cook and stir over low heat until melted.

Steps:
- Saute onion, celery, and carrot in olive oil in a large pot for 15 miutes, stirring occasionally.
- Sprinkle the flour over the veggies and let cook for a minute.
- Add the potatoes, stock, and beer and bring to a boil.
- Cook 15 minutes or so, until potatoes become tender.
- Add the spices and seasonings, milk and Worcestershire sauce.
- Remove from heat and stir in the cheese until it is melted.
- Ladle out about 2 cups of the veggies from the soup and puree them, and then pour them back inches.
- Turn the heat back on to low.
- Stir in the bratwurst and allow it to warm through.

- Heat olive oil in soup pot over medium heat.
- Add onion, celery and carrots.
- Cook about 15 minutes or until tender, stirring every so often to keep from sticking.
- Stir in flour, cook about 1 minute.
- Add potatoes, stock and beer.
- Bring to a boil and cook 10- 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
- Add mustard powder, granulated garlic, salt and peppers.
- Combine milk and Worcestershire sauce in a small bowl.
- Stir into soup.
- Remove soup from heat.
- Add cheese, stirring until cheese is melted and smooth.
- Remove 2 cups of vegetables with some liquid and add to a blender or food processor.
- Puree.
- Stir back into the soup to give it nice body.
- Return to low heat and add sliced, cooked bratwurst.
- Cook until bratwurst is warm- about 5 minutes.

- Grill or pan-fry 1 pound of grilled Bratwurst till evenly browned. Remove the grilled Bratwurst from the heat source and let cool. Once cooled off slice grilled Bratwurst into bite-sized rounds.

- To your slow cooker add chopped onion, minced garlic, carrots and optional potatoes. If using potatoes, peel and slice into 1 inch cubes. Sprinkle with seasonings and shredded cheese. Pour in chicken broth and beer. Cover and begin cooking for 4 hours on high, or 8 on low.
- Meanwhile, in a skillet over medium high heat melt butter. Add whole bratwurst, searing on each side. Remove, slicing into 1/2 inch pieces. Return to skillet to sear on each side. Remove and slice each piece in half. Carefully add to slow cooker. Cover and continue cooking.
- In your last 30 minutes of cooking, remove 1/2 cup liquid to a large bowl. To it add flour and heavy cream. Stir well. Return to slow cooker giving a good stir and replacing cover to finish cooking.
