PEPPERED BACON HASH BROWN PIE
Bake Original Bisquick® mix topped with bacon and potatoes to make this cheesy pie - a wonderful dinner for eight.

- Heat oven to 425°F. Line 15x10-inch pan with foil; place wire cooling rack in pan. In small bowl, mix brown sugar and pepper. Sprinkle over 1 side of each bacon slice, pressing firmly. Place bacon on rack. Bake 18 to 20 minutes or until crisp.
- Reduce oven temperature to 350°F. Spray 9 1/2-inch glass deep-dish pie plate with cooking spray. In bowl, place Bisquick mix; cut in butter, using pastry blender, until crumbly. Add water; stir vigorously until soft dough forms. Using fingers dipped in Bisquick mix, press dough on bottom and up side of pie plate, forming edge on rim of plate. Crumble 8 slices bacon. Sprinkle crumbled bacon, potatoes, cheese and onions in crust. In bowl, beat half-and-half, eggs and salt with whisk until blended. Pour over ingredients in crust.
- Bake 50 to 55 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Let stand 10 minutes. Cut into 8 wedges. Cut remaining 4 slices bacon in half. Top each wedge with bacon and tomatoes.

- 1.Hash Brown Topping: Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil over medium heat in a large nonstick skillet. Add hash browns in a single layer and cook undisturbed for 5 minutes. Flip hash browns and cook another 5 minutes. (They will not be all the way cooked - just golden in some places.) Set aside to cool. 2.Meat and Vegetables: Brown beef and onions in a 12" oven proof skillet* over medium high heat until beef is cooked through. Drain off excess grease. 3.Add garlic and sauté 30 seconds. Sprinkle flour over meat and cook while stirring for 2 minutes. Add remaining Meat/Vegetable ingredients and simmer, stirring occasionally, over medium heat for 7-10 minutes or until thickened. Taste and add additional hot sauce if desired. Spread evenly in skillet. 4.Meanwhile, in a large bowl, mix 1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, hash browns, sour cream, salt and pepper. 5.Spread hash brown topping evenly over meat mixture and sprinkle with remaining 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese. Bake at 400F degrees for 30 minutes or until hash brown are completely cooked then broil to desired hash brown crispiness. Notes *If you don't have a 12" oven proof skillet, cook in a regular skillet and transfer meat mixture and hash browns to an oven proof casserole dish to bake.

- Place bacon in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium high heat until evenly brown. Drain, crumble, and set aside.

BREAKFAST PIE WITH A HASH BROWN CRUST
Steps:
- Gather the ingredients. Preheat the oven to 400 F.
- Grease a pie tin and press the hash browns into the pie tin, covering the bottom completely and pressing up onto the sides.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes until just browned.
- Add the bacon slices to a sheet pan lined with parchment paper.
- Cook in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, or until firm but not crispy.
- While the crust and bacon are cooking, prepare the mushrooms. Add the butter to a sauté pan. Once melted, add the mushrooms and half of the salt and pepper. Cook on medium-high heat until browned, about 3 minutes.
- Whisk the eggs together until completely beaten and the whites and yolks are totally incorporated.
- Whisk the cooked mushrooms, milk, shredded cheese, and chopped scallions into the eggs. Season with the remaining salt and pepper.
- Pour the egg mixture into the hash brown crust. Bake for 25 minutes or until the eggs are mostly set.
- Form the bacon into a lattice crust over the top of the egg. Then brush the bacon with the maple syrup.
- Bake for another 10-15 minutes or until the bacon has finished crisping and the egg mixture is cooked through. You can test by sticking a knife in the center. If it comes out clean, it's ready to go.
- Serve with additional scallions and maple syrup if you wish.

- Grease a 9 or 10-inch deep-dish pie plate.
- In a bowl combine hash browns with about 1/4 cups finely chopped onions.
- Press into the prepared pie plate to form a crust.
- Sprinkle crust with a little seasoning salt or white salt and pepper, Romano or Parmesan cheese and garlic powder.
- Then sprinkle with the spinach, and then the feta cheese on top of the spinach.
- Top evenly with grated cheddar cheese.
- In a bowl whisk together eggs with half and half cream (or milk if using) and pour the egg mixture around the edge of the pie, (the egg mixture is only to sit around the edges that is why you start pouring around edges firstly).
- Sprinkle the remaining chopped onion on top of the cheddar cheese in the center of the pie.

- Refrigerate pie for 5-24 hours.
