Cherry Chocolate Malted Chex Mix Recipes

CHEX™ CHOCOLATE MALT-CHERRY MIX

Steps:

• In large bowl, mix cereals and peanuts.
• In 1-quart microwavable bowl, microwave chocolate chips and butter on High 1 minute; stir. Microwave 30 seconds longer or until mixture can be stirred smooth. Pour over cereal mixture, stirring until evenly coated.
• Gradually stir in malted milk powder until evenly coated. Stir in remaining ingredients. spread on waxed paper to cool. Store in airtight container.

CHOCOLATE MALTED CHERRY FLOAT

Steps:

• In 4 medium size glasses, place two to three scoops of chocolate ice cream into each. Slowly pour cherry vanilla soda over ice cream and top with chopped malted milk balls and a maraschino cherry. Serve with long spoons and a straw.

CHOCOLATE-CHERRY COFFEE MIX

Steps:

• In an airtight container, combine the first six ingredients. Store in a cool, dry place for up to 2 months. Yield: 6 cups., To prepare gift: Place 1 cup mix in a 12-in. disposable decorating bag. Fold corners of bag into the center and roll bag down; secure with transparent tape. Place bag in a second disposable decorating bag. Top with 1 cup marshmallows and 1 teaspoon sprinkles. Gather and twist the top of the bag. Attach ribbon and gift tag. Repeat to make five more gift bags. Yield: 6 gift bags (1 cup/8 servings per bag)., To prepare coffee: In a mug, dissolve 2 heaping tablespoons mix in hot milk; stir well. Top with marshmallows and sprinkles.

CHOCOLATE CHERRY DELIGHT

Steps:

• Add chocolate drink mix, almond milk, cherries, and ice to blender and blend until smooth.

DARK CHOCOLATE CHERRY TRAIL MIX

Steps:

• Pour all ingredients into a medium bowl and stir together to mix. Store at room temperature in a sealed 32-ounce mason jar and enjoy whenever you need a quick and satisfying snack!

CHOCOLATE MINT CHEX PARTY MIX

Steps:

• In large microwavable bowl, measure cereal. Set aside. Line cookie sheet with waxed paper.
• In medium microwavable bowl, microwave mint chips uncovered on Medium (50%) about 1 minute, stir. Microwave an additional 15 seconds at a time, until chocolate is mostly melted and can be stirred smooth. Pour over cereal, evenly coating pieces.
• Microwave uncovered on High 3 minutes, stirring every minute. Spread on waxed paper; cool 5 minutes. Stir in candies. Store tightly covered.

CHOCOLATE MALT CHERRY MIX SNACK

Steps:

• In a large bowl mix the 3 cereals and dry peanuts. Use as 1 quart microwavable bowl and microwave the chocolate chips and butter on high for approx 1 minute. Stir until smooth, if needed microwave in 30 second intervals until smooth. Pour this mixture over the cereal and peanuts until coated evenly. Gradually stir in the malt powder until mixture is coated evenly. Stir in the remaining indgredients (mini marshmallows, chopped malted milk balls and chopped dried cherries).
• Spread the mixture on wax paper to cool. When cool break into pieces and store in an air tight container.

A CHRISTMAS STORY™ RICH CHOCOLATE CHEX™ MIX

Steps:

• Line large rimmed baking pan with waxed paper. In small bowl, mix powdered sugar, malted milk powder and baking cocoa; set aside. In large microwavable bowl, add cereals.
• In small microwavable bowl, microwave butter uncovered on High 20 to 30 seconds or until melted. Stir in granulated sugar; microwave uncovered on High 30 to 60 seconds or until sugar is almost dissolved. Pour over cereal, stirring until evenly coated.
• Microwave uncovered on High 3 to 4 minutes, stirring after every minute, until well coated and slightly toasted; transfer to 2-gallon resealable food-storage plastic bag. Add powdered sugar mixture to bag with cereal; seal bag, and shake to coat thoroughly. Spread in pan; cool completely, about 20 minutes.
• In large serving bowl, mix cereal mixture, malted milk balls and baking chips. Store at room temperature in covered container.

CHERRY-CHOCOLATE MALTED CHEX MIX

Steps:

• Measure cereals and peanuts into large bowl; set aside.
• Microwave margarine and chocolate chips in microwave-proof bowl until melted, stirring occasionally.
• Pour over cereal mixture in bowl, gently stirring until evenly coated.
• Gradually stir in malted milk powder until evenly coated.
• Stir in remaining ingredients.
• Store in airtight container.
