Number Of Ingredients 9

1.5 pounds Party chicken wings
2 sticks Green onion
4 slices Ginger
6 cloves Garlic
1/2 tablespoon Sesame oil
1/2 cup Soy sauce
1/2 cup Water
2 tablespoons Dark soy sauce
3 tablespoons Brown sugar

Steps:

  • In a bowl, add ½ cup of soy sauce, ½ cup of water, 2 tablespoons of dark soy sauce, and 3 tablespoons of brown sugar. Then, mix them well.
  • Push the sauté button on the instant pot. After, add ½ tablespoon of sesame oil, 4 slices ginger, and 6 cloves of garlic. Stir fry them a little bit.
  • Next, add 1.5 pounds of washed party chicken wings into the pot. (The chicken wings don't need to be completely thaw. I used frozen party chicken wings.)
  • After that, stir the sauce mixture well and pour into the pot.
  • The following step, mix the sauce with the chicken well. After, close the lid and vent. Push the manual button to adjust time for 5 minutes at high pressure. Then, naturally release the pressure.
  • In the meanwhile, cut 2 sticks of green onion into small strips.
  • Lastly, add green onion and mix them. Then, use a skimmer to remove excess fat from the sauce.

Provided by Tyler Florence

Categories     appetizer

Time 2h25m

Yield 6 to 8 servings

Number Of Ingredients 11

Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup honey
Sesame seeds, for garnish
2 pounds chicken wings
1 cup low sodium soy sauce,
1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro leaves
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 lemon, juiced

Steps:

  • Rinse chicken wings and pat dry. Remove tip and discard; separate each wing at the joint into 2 pieces. Place wings in a shallow dish and pour over the soy sauce, ginger, cilantro, garlic, and lemon juice. Toss well to coat; marinate, refrigerated, for 2 hours.
  • Remove wings from marinade and pat dry; season with salt and pepper. In a large saute pan over medium-high heat, melt the butter in the olive oil. When the butter stops foaming, add the honey and chicken wings and fry until browned on each side, about 5 minutes. Continue cooking the wings, turning them over often to coat them as the glaze reduces. Cook until the wings are sticky and cooked through. Garnish with sesame seeds and serve.

SIMPLE BAKED SOY SAUCE GARLIC CHICKEN WINGS

Simple Baked Soy Sauce Garlic Chicken Wings image

I've been making this for years ! Have to give credit to my mom, it is her recipe. It's so simple and great for nights you just wanna have a hearty dinner and not have to slave in the kitchen.

Provided by chelletron

Categories     Chicken

Time 3h

Yield 6 wings, 2-3 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 6

6 chicken wings
1 (8 ounce) bottle kikkoman light soy sauce
3 pieces garlic
fresh ground black pepper
cayenne pepper (optional)
2 cups white jasmine rice

Steps:

  • Grab a big bowl.
  • Place chicken wings in bowl.
  • Coat wings with soy sauce, leaving a little puddle for them to marinate in on the bottom.
  • press the garlic through a garlic press & scatter around (or chop finely).
  • Grind about a teaspoon of black pepper on top.
  • Throw in some cayenne if you're feeling daring, I just eyeball it.
  • Cook some jasmine rice in the rice cooker, the chicken is great with it! But can also be made alone. I get mahatma jasmine rice at the grocery store, nice and cheap!
  • Marinate for at least 2 hours, but keep in mind the longer it marinates. the tastier the wings will be. I like to prep it before bed and cook it the next day for dinner. Perfect!
  • After marinating, preheat the oven @ 375 degrees & pop the wings in , after 30 minutes turn them over and let cook for another 30 minutes and voila! Dinner is served :).
