Try this easy to follow chocolate Easter nest recipe!Made with only 4 basic ingredients, these simple chocolate birds' nests make a fun kids Easter cooking activity and are the perfect no-bake dessert!

170 grams chocolate (use a good quality chocolate like Cadbury or Nestlé)
1 1/4 cups fried noodles ((100 grams). I used Chang's noodles, but most fried noodles will suit this recipe)
1/4 cup shredded coconut
speckled chocolate Easter eggs (to decorate)

Steps:

  • Line a tray with baking paper and set aside.
  • Place the noodles and coconut into a mixing bowl and set aside.

An easy to follow recipe for the school lunch classic: chocolate crunch. Sprinkled generously with granulated sugar - yum!

Number Of Ingredients 4

300g Plain Flour
300g Granulated Sugar
80g Cocoa Powder
150g Butter (Vegan butter works great too!)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 180C
  • Mix the flour, sugar and cocoa in a large mixing bowl
  • Melt the butter until runny (either in microwave or in a pan)
  • Pour the melted butter into the flour mixture and mix to a crumble
  • Butter a deep-sided tin, then tip the crumble mixture into it
  • Use your hands or a spatula to press the crumble down to form a flat, dense cake
  • Bake in the oven for 20 minutes
  • Remove from the oven and sprinkle with more granulated sugar
  • Allow to cool for 1 minute if you like them warm and soft, otherwise allow to fully cool for a 'crunch'

butter, for greasing pan
1 (21 ounce) box brownie mix
3 large eggs
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 cup miniature marshmallow
10 chocolate caramel-covered wafers
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup confectioners' sugar

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Prepare brownies as directed on the box for "cakelike" brownies, using mix, eggs, water, and oil.
  • Spread half the batter into an 8-by-8 inch prepared pan, and top evenly with the mini-marshmallows and chocolate caramel-covered wafers. Cover with remainder of batter.
  • Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until brownies are almost cooked through. Remove from oven. Cool completely.
  • Whip the cream, then add sugar.
  • Plate brownies with dollop of whip topping, raspberries and chocolate shavings.

This was tried and not forgotten at a friends house - also most of the ingredients are what you might have around the house, simple and delish!

2 ounces golden syrup
3 ounces margarine or 3 ounces butter
2 ounces caster sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
8 ounces crushed digestive biscuits
500 g chocolate, for covering

Steps:

  • Melt syrup, margarine (or butter) and sugar in a saucepan.
  • Add cocoa powder and mix in well.
  • Remove from heat and stir in biscuits.
  • Press into a square or oblong tin and leave to chill in the fridge.
  • Meanwhile melt the chocolate in a pan and spread as generously as you want over the biscuit base.
  • Leave for at least 4 hours in the fridge before cutting into squares.

1 cup rice bubbles
1/2 cup desiccated coconut
1/4 cup dried apricots, finely chopped or 1/4 cup other dried fruit

Steps:

  • Put the chocolate in a heatproof bowl, place over a pan of simmering water and stir frequently until the chocolate has melted.
  • Fold in the rice bubbles, coconut and fried fruit and mix well.
  • Tip onto a tray covered with a sheet of non stick baking paper and spread with a knife or spatula to a thin even layer. Neaten edges then refrigerate till set. Cut into squares.
