CINNAMON ROLL SOUFFLE

Number Of Ingredients 10

12 dinner rolls (can be old and stale)
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon
8 ounces low fat cream cheese cubed
12 eggs
3 cups fat free half and half
4 tablespoons maple syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup powdered sugar
4 ounces softened cream cheese

Steps:

  • 1. Spray a 9 x 13-inch baking dish with cooking spray. 2. Break rolls into pieces and place half of them in baking dish. 3. Mix together brown sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle half over the rolls. 4. Top with half of the cream cheese cubes. 5. Repeat layers of rolls, sugar and cream cheese. 6. Whisk together eggs, half and half, 2 tablespoons maple syrup and vanilla. Pour over rolls. Cover and refrigerate overnight. 7. Bake at 350° for 45 to 55 minutes or until a knife inserted in center comes out clean. 8. Beat together powdered sugar, softened cream cheese and remaining maple syrup until smooth. Drizzle over souffle.

1 loaf cinnamon raisin bread
1 (20 ounce) can of undrained pineapple
1 cup margarine (melted)
1/2 cup sugar
5 eggs, slightly beaten
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Steps:

  • Remove thin crusts frombread, and tear into small pieces.
  • Place into buttered 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Pour pineapple and juice over bread & set aside.
  • Cream together margarine and sugar,.
  • Add eggs to margarine-sugar mixture and mix well.
  • Pour creamed mixture over bread and pineapple.
  • Sprinkle chopped pecans over souffle.
  • Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.

Number Of Ingredients 14

6 cinnamon roll dough, baked and cubed (do not frost)
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, cut into small cubes
12 large eggs, beaten
1/2 cup butter, melted
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 cups half and half
1/2 cup maple syrup
APPLE CIDER SYRUP:
1 cup sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 cups apple cider
2 tablespoons lemon juice

Steps:

  • Thoroughly spray a 12-cup bundt pan or 9 x 13-inch glass pan. Sprinkle a layer of cinnamon roll cubes into the pan followed by a layer of cream cheese cubes. Add another layer of cinnamon roll cubes followed by the rest of the cream cheese. Blend eggs, butter, half & half, syrup and salt until smooth. Pour mixture over cream cheese and cinnamon cubes. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight (or at least 4 hours). Remove wrap. Bake in a preheated 350°F oven for 60 minutes or until knife inserted in middle comes out clean. Do not underbake. If made in a bundt pan, invert immediately onto a serving platter. It is natural for the soufflé to settle. Let cool 8-10 minutes before serving. Slice and serve with Apple Cider Syrup.APPLE CIDER SYRUP:Mix dry ingredients together in a sauce pan. Add cider and lemon juice. Cook over medium heat, stirring until thickened. Serve warm.

This is such a simple recipe and so delicious. I have been going through a lot of my cookbooks looking for recipes with cinnamon. I have diabetes and cinnamon helps lower your blood sugars. This recipe is a keeper for anyone though. It's especially good served warm with vanilla icecream..

1 loaf o cinnamon, raisin bread
1 can(s) (20oz) can crushed pineapple
2 stick butter, melted
1/2 c sugar
5 large eggs slightly beaten
1/2 c chopped pecans

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Thinly slice crust off of the bread and tear bread into small pieces. Layer in a sprayed 9x13" glass baking dish. Pour pineapple and juice over top of bread. Cream butter and sugar together. Add eggs and pecans and blend well. Pour creamed mixture over bread and pineapples and bake for 40 minutes Serve warm with or without icecream
