Cinnamon Tea Toddy Recipe Bourbon

APPLE CINNAMON HOT TODDY

Steps:

• Heat the apple juice to almost boiling then add the tea bag. Allow to steep for 2-3 minutes. Then add the liquor. You can garnish with cinnamon sticks, apple slices, orange peels, or nothing at all.
• Rum, whiskey, or bourbon all work well in this hot toddy, so feel free to use what you have and what you love.

WHISKEY HOT TODDY WITH CINNAMON

Steps:

• Juice lemon and add juice to a glass with honey.
• Pour in bourbon and stir together with cinnamon stick. Pour hot water over cinnamon stick into the glass. Let steep for 5-6 minutes.
• Drink while hot!

APPLE CINNAMON HOT TODDY

Steps:

• To a sauce pan, add the chopped apple, water, cinnamon, cinnamon sticks, and maple syrup. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for three minutes to soften the apples.
• Remove the pan from the heat and add the tea bag. Allow the tea to steep for three minutes. Remove the tea bag.

CINNAMON TODDY

Steps:

• Warm a heat-proof mug. Once warmed, add whiskey, lemon juice, cinnamon syrup, biiters and a bar spoon of maple syrup. Top with hot ginger or winter-spiced tea. Garnish with lemon peel or cinnamon stick.

HONEY-BOURBON TODDY

Steps:

• Stir 2 tablespoons honey and 1 cup hot water in a 2-cup measuring cup until honey dissolves. Add 6 tablespoons bourbon (or better yet, Apple Bourbon, in which case you'll use 1 tablespoon honey; for recipe, see below). Divide between 2 Toddy glasses. Twist a 3x1/2" strip of lemon peel over each drink, then add to glass. Stir each with a cinnamon stick and serve.
• To make Apple Bourbon, combine a 750-milliliter bottle of bourbon, 4 cored, sliced Fuji apples, and 4 cinnamon sticks in a pitcher. Cover; chill for 3 days. Strain and sip or use in recipe above.

BOURBON HOT TODDY

Steps:

• Bring 2 cups water to a boil in a small saucepan or tea kettle. Remove from heat and divide between two mugs. Divide bourbon, honey, lemon juice, cinnamon sticks, and cloves between mugs. Let stand 5 minutes, then stir and serve, garnished with lemon rounds.

HOT CINNAMON TODDY

Steps:

• Add tea bag to glass. Top with boiling water and let steep for 8 minutes. Add a splash (or more...) of bourbon and enjoy! Make it look fancy with cinnamon sticks, if desired.
