- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Slice the French bread in half horizontally. Combine the butter, Monterey Jack cheese, Asiago cheese, mayonnaise, green onion, and garlic in a bowl. Mix well. Spread the cut sides of the bread with the cheese mixture. Place the bread on a baking sheet and place in the oven. Bake at 350 degrees F for 7 minutes. Turn the oven to broil. Cook the garlic cheese bread for 3 minutes or until bubbly and lightly golden brown. Remove the cheese bread from the oven and slice as desired. Serve hot.
