4 ounces applesauce
2 tablespoons Wish Bone Italian salad dressing

  • Put all ingredients in a blender and blend on/off for 2 minutes on high or until smooth.
  • Keep chilled.

Someone left the bottle empty in the fridge (well, just a few drops is the same as empty). I had just enough to copy it, then when I brought a sample to my unsuspecting taste-tester, he liked mine better than the original! I washed my Heinz 57® bottle, multiplied this recipe to fill 'er up, and haven't bought another name brand since. Hope you like it!

1 ¼ teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
½ teaspoon yellow mustard
¼ teaspoon lemon juice
1 drop hot pepper sauce (such as Tabasco®)

  • Whisk ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, lemon juice, and hot sauce together in a small bowl until smooth.

I make this recipe every summer. In the winter sometimes I'll use this instead of ketchup for my meatloaf.

1/4 cup(s) raisin puree
1 1/3 cup(s) white vinegar
1 cup(s) tomato paste
2/3 cup(s) rice vinegar
2/3 cup(s) sugar
1/2 cup(s) water
1 tablespoon(s) yellow mustard
2 teaspoon(s) apple juice concentrate
1 1/2 teaspoon(s) salt
1 teaspoon(s) vegetable oil
1 teaspoon(s) lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon(s) onion powder
1/4 teaspoon(s) garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon(s) turmeric

Steps:

  • To make raisin puree, add 1/3 cup each of raisins and water to your food processor and puree until smooth. Measure 1/4 cup of the mixture into your saucepan.
  • Add the rest of the ingredients and whick it all together until well blended. Bring to a roiling boil over medium high heat, stirring continuously. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes, or until sauce thickens.
  • Cool. Pour into a bottle and refrigerate 24 hours, or more, to allow the flavors to mingle
  • 44 calories per serving. 356 mg sodium, 10 mg carbs
