CREAMY MARGARITAS



Creamy Margaritas image

Sound a little peculiar ? You won't think so once you taste this creamy lime beverage made of lime sherbet and evaporated milk. Add as much tequila to your taste, or eliminate completely for younger individuals. Cheers!

Number Of Ingredients 6

2 cups lime sherbet or 2 cups sorbet
12 fluid ounces evaporated milk
1 cup ice cube
1 1/2 ounces tequila (or to taste) (optional)
coarse salt (optional)
lime slice

Steps:

  • In a blender combine sherbet, evaporated milk, ice cubes and tequila (if using) and blend until smooth.
  • Run a slice of lime around rim of glass, dip into course salt.
  • Pour Margaritas into glasses and serve with fresh lime slice.
  • Serves 4.

1 (15 ounce) can cream of coconut (such as Coco Lopez®)
1 cup ice
¾ cup tequila (such as Sauza® 100% Blue Agave)
½ cup freshly squeezed lime juice
¼ cup brandy-based orange liqueur (such as Grand Marnier®)

Steps:

  • Blend cream of coconut, ice, tequila, lime juice, and orange liqueur in a blender until smooth.
