KELLOGG'S ORIGINAL CRISPIX MIX RECIPE
This is the recipe that I found inside the box of Crispix Cereal. The ingredients appear to be slightly different from the other posted recipes. NOTES: Dry roasted mixed nuts can be used in place of regular mixed nuts. Reduced calorie margarine can be substituted for regular margarine. Steps:
- Preheat oven to 250 degrees.
- Combine Kellogg's Crispix cereal, nuts and pretzels in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan. Set aside.
- Stir together the remaining ingredients. Pour over cereal mixture. Stir until evenly coated.
- Bake for about 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes. Spread on paper towels to cool.
- Store in airtight container.

- 1. melt margarine in 13x9x2- inch pan in oven at 250 degree's fahrenheit. Stir in garlic salt, onion salt, lemon juice and Worcestershire ssauce.
- 2. Add Crispix cereal, nuts and pretzels. Mix until coated.
- 3. Bake in oven at 250 degree's fahrenheit for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes. Spread on absorbent paper to cool.

- 1. Toast almonds in 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan. Remove from oven and stir in KELLOGG'S CRISPIX cereal. Set aside.2. Melt margarine with corn syrup in small saucepan, until smooth. Stir in lemon peel and lemon juice. Pour over cereal mixture. Stir until evenly coated.3. Bake at 250°F for 30 minutes, stirring after 15 minutes. Spread on waxed paper or baking sheet coated with cooking spray. Cool completely. Store in airtight container.

- Preheat oven to 250 degrees F (120 degrees C). Lightly butter a large roasting pan.
- Mix corn and rice cereal, pecans, and almonds together in the prepared roasting pan.
- Combine brown sugar, corn syrup, and butter in a saucepan; bring to a boil. Heat to 240 degrees F (115 degrees C) or until a small amount of syrup dropped into cold water forms a soft ball that flattens when removed from the water and placed on a flat surface. Remove saucepan from heat and stir vanilla extract into syrup.
- Drizzle syrup over cereal mixture and toss to coat.
- Bake cereal mixture in the preheated oven for 30 minutes; stir and continue baking for 30 minutes more. Spread cereal mixture in 1 layer onto 2 lightly buttered baking sheets, separating any large chunks with 2 forks; allow to cool.
