Provided by Gayle

Categories     Dessert

Time 4h10m

Number Of Ingredients 10

4 cups fresh or frozen peaches (, peeled and sliced)
¼ cup packed light brown sugar
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
1½ cups Bisquick mix
¼ cup packed light brown sugar
¼ cup granulated sugar
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
2 teaspoons vanilla bean paste ((or vanilla extract))
½ cup milk (, any kind (I used 2%))

Steps:

  • Spray a 6-quart slow cooker with cooking spray or line with a slow cooker liner. Set aside.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the peaches, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Toss to coat. Spread peaches onto bottom of slow cooker.
  • In another medium bowl, combine the Bisquick mix, brown sugar, white sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, and milk. Stir thoroughly to remove lumps. Spread mixture evenly over peaches.
  • Line the edges of the top of the slow cooker with paper towels so that condensation doesn't leak into the cobbler, cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours, or until center is set.
  • Serve with vanilla ice cream, if desired.

BISQUICK PEACH COBBLER

Bisquick Peach Cobbler image

Baking mix and canned peaches are the keys to this ultra-easy peach cobbler that can be enjoyed any time of year. We love the rustic look of the cobbler in a cast-iron pan but you can also make it in a baking dish. Either way, a scoop of vanilla ice cream is the perfect topper.

Provided by Food Network Kitchen

Categories     dessert

Time 1h15m

Yield 8 to 10 servings

Number Of Ingredients 8

3/4 cup unsalted butter
1 1/2 cups baking mix, such as Bisquick Original Pancake and Baking Mix ™
1 1/2 cups milk, at room temperature
1 1/4 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 1/4 cups packed dark brown sugar
Three 15-ounce cans sliced peaches, drained
Vanilla ice cream, for serving

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Place the butter in a 12-inch round cast-iron skillet or a 9-by-13-inch baking dish and place in the preheating oven to just melt the butter, 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Whisk the baking mix, milk, cinnamon and nutmeg together in a medium bowl. Toss the brown sugar and peaches together in a separate medium bowl and set aside.
  • Remove the pan from the oven and swirl the butter or use a pastry brush to coat the bottom and sides of the pan, then pour the melted butter into the batter. Whisk until combined, then pour the batter into the buttered pan. Spoon the peaches and brown sugar syrup evenly over the top of the batter.
  • Bake until golden brown and the peach juices are bubbling, 45 to 55 minutes.
  • Let cool to room temperature before serving with ice cream.
