1 box Betty Crocker™ pound cake mix
1 cup mashed cooked sweet potatoes
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
3 eggs
1 tub Betty Crocker™ Rich & Creamy cream cheese frosting

Steps:

Heat oven to 350°F. Grease 10-inch angel food (tube) cake pan with shortening; lightly flour.
In large bowl, beat cake mix, sweet potatoes, milk, nutmeg and eggs with electric mixer on low speed 1 minute, scraping bowl constantly. Beat on medium speed 3 minutes, scraping bowl occasionally. Spread in pan.
Bake 45 to 50 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean and cake is golden brown. Cool 10 minutes; remove from pan to wire rack. Cool completely, about 1 hour. Frost cake with frosting.

1 pack - duncam hines frosting creations( caromel flavor)
1 can(s) duncan hines frosting creations starter
1 box(es) duncan hines yellow cake mix
3 - eggs
1/3 cup(s) vegetable oil
3/4 cup(s) water
1/2 cup(s) orange juice
15 ounce(s) can sweet potato in light syrup
1 tablespoon(s) butter
1/2 teaspoon(s) cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon(s) grated orange zest

Steps:

1.Preheat oven to 350 degree. Line cupcake baking pan with paper cupcake paper. 2.Drain sweet potatoes and slighty rinse with water to get rid of extra sugar. Mash sweet potatoes in a bowl and add cinnamon and orange zest. Add 1 tablespoon butter. Beat for 1-2 minutes on medium speed with a mixer
3.Prepare Duncan Hines cake mix as directed mixing the water with the orange juice (i used fresh sqeezed orange juice since i need the orange zest). Add the sweet potato mixture into the prepared batter and fold.
4. Fill each cup ¾ of the way to the top. 5.Bake as directed on cake mix box. Allow cupcakes to cool completely before frosting
FROSTING: Pour pack of Duncan Hines Frosting Creations Caramel Flavor Mix into can of Duncan Hines Frosting Creations Frosting Starter. Stir until evenly blended. Frost cupcakes using a spatula or with a piping bag.

Ingredients

1 (18 ounce) box yellow cake mix with pudding
3 eggs
1 cup milk
1 orange, juice of
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 cup mashed sweet potato, from can (most so called yams are actually sweet potatoes so you can use canned yams)
3 teaspoons apple pie spice

Steps:

Preheat oven to 350°F (or as instructed on cake mix box).
Mash the sweet potatoes in a bowl.
Add in liquid ingredients: Milk, eggs, oil and orange juice. Mix until blended.
Add cake mix and apple pie spice. Mix on medium speed until smooth.
Pour into pan of choice. I used a bundt.

Preheat oven to 350-degrees F. Butter and flour two 9-inch round cake pans. Line bottoms with baking parchment and butter the top of those too.
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and ginger. Set aside.
In the bowl of a mixer, beat together butter and sugar on medium-high for 4-5 minutes until creamy, stopping to scrape down bowl at least twice. Gradually add beaten eggs. Beat on medium-high for 1-2 minutes until fluffy, scraping down bowl as needed. Add vanilla and sweet potatoes and beat until smooth, scraping down bowl as needed (scraping down the bowl is important stuff, y’all).
Add the dry ingredients into the butter mixture in thirds, alternating with buttermilk. Beat on low speed until just incorporated, scraping down bowl as needed.
