Easy Bacon Cheese Dog Recipes

CHEESY BACON ULTIMATE DOGS

Steps:

• Preheat grill for medium heat and lightly oil the grate.
• Smear 1/4 teaspoon mustard inside each butterflied hot dog. Put 2 Cheddar cheese matchsticks inside each hot dog.
• Secure one end of a bacon strip to one end a hot dog using a toothpick. Wrap the bacon strip tightly around the entire hot dog, securing the far end with another toothpick; repeat for remaining hot dogs.
• Cook on preheated grill until hot dogs are heated and bacon is cooked through, 4 to 5 minutes per side.
• Place each cooked hot dog onto a bun and top with 2 pickle slices.

ULTIMATE BACON CHEESE DOGS

Steps:

• Slice string cheese in four long pieces (lengthwise).
• Cut a slit in each hot dog, taking care not to go all the way through, and insert a piece of cheese.
• Wrap hot dog entirely in bacon (2-3 slices) and secure with toothpicks.
• Spread brown sugar on a plate. Roll each wrapped hot dog lightly in brown sugar.
• Place on broiling rack or grill and cook until bacon is crispy, turning once.
• Remove toothpicks and serve on hot dog buns with your favorite condiments.

KILLER BACON-CHEESE DOGS

Steps:

• Preheat an outdoor grill for medium-high heat. Lightly oil grate, and set 4 inches from the heat.
• Place the bacon in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium-high heat until evenly brown. Drain on paper towels.
• Place hot dogs on grill; cook until browned, 5 to 8 minutes, turning once, or until done to suit your taste. Lightly grill hot dog buns.
• To assemble sandwiches, place a slice of cheese and bacon on each roll. Add a hot dog, top each with 1 tablespoon barbeque sauce, or desired amount, and red onion.

CHEESY BACON HOT DOGS

Steps:

• Split the hot dogs in half lengthwise, making a pocket but not cutting all the way through. Stuff each one with a string cheese. Starting at one end, wrap a slice of bacon around each stuffed hotdog, then place each on a square of foil and wrap up.
• Throw the wrapped hotdogs on a hot campfire grill and cook, turning occasionally, until the hot dogs heat through, the cheese melts and the bacon slices crisp, 10 to 15 minutes. Set aside to cool for 5 minutes, then unwrap.

BACON-WRAPPED HOT DOGS

Steps:

• Heat oven to 400°F. Line cookie sheet with parchment paper. Wrap bacon tightly around hot dogs; place on cookie sheet.
• Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until bacon is thoroughly cooked and hot dogs are browned. Serve immediately in buns with your favorite toppings.

RECIPE: CHEESY BACON DOG BISCUITS

Steps:

• Preheat your oven to 350˚F.
• In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, beef stock, egg, cream cheese and bacon. Mix and work the recipe until it forms a thick dough.
• As you'll see in my video guide above, I make small patties with the dough and place them on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. You could also roll the dough onto a floured surface until it's about 1/4″ thick. Cut the dough into small pieces with cookie cutters or a pizza cutter, and bake the treats on a well greased or parchment paper lined cookie sheet.
• You could also roll the dough into 1″ balls and flatten them on the cookie sheet to make a simple, round biscuit. No matter what shape you make them, bake the biscuits for about 20-30 minutes. You'll know they are done when the tops are cracked and the bottoms turn a golden brown color.

PINK'S BACON-CHILI-CHEESE DOG

Steps:

• Spread mustard on a warm, soft hot dog bun. Place cheese on the bun, followed by the hot dog. Top with chili, bacon, tomatoes and onions.

BBQ BACON CHEESE DOG

Steps:

• Place frank and bacon in bun; top with cheese. Wrap in paper towel.
• Microwave on HIGH 30 to 45 sec. or until frank is heated through and cheese is melted.
• Top with barbecue sauce.

BACON BURGER CHEESE DOGS

Steps:

• Mix ground and cajan seasoning.
• Shape into eight square pattys.
• Place one stick of cheese in center of each patty,sealing well.
• Wrap bacon around each ,usind a toothpick to hold each end of bacon.
• You should have 8 hot dog shaped burger dogs with cheese in the middle and bacon spirled around the outside.
• Grill on bbq grill about15 minutes,until done.
• Serve in hotdog buns.

BACON CHEDDAR DOG BISCUITS

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 165'C (325'F).
• Cook bacon until crisp. Crumble into pieces.
• In a large bow, combine rolled oats, margarine, bacon fat and boiling water. Mix well and let stand for ten minutes.
• Stir in the sugar, cornmeal, milk, cheeses, bacon crumbles, egg and 2 teaspoons beef bouillon granules.
• Mix in the flour, one cup at a time until it becomes a firm dough.
• Knead dough on floured surface, mixing additional flour as needed to make a smooth and non-sticky dough.
• Roll out to 1/2" thickness and cut cookies with your favourite cookie cutter.
• Place on greased cookie sheet and bake for 35 to 45 minutes or until cookies become golden brown.
• Cool and serve.
