1 package instant vanilla pudding mix
2 cups cold milk
1/2 can sweetened condensed milk
1 tbsp vanilla extract
1 container frozen whipped topping (thawed)
1 package vanilla wafers
6 bananas (sliced)

Steps:

  • In a large mixing bowl, beat pudding mix and milk for 2 minutes. Blend in condensed milk until smooth. Stir in vanilla and fold in the whipped topping.
  • In a glass dish, layer the wafers, bananas and pudding mixture.
  • Chill for at least 3 hours in the refrigerator. Can also be chilled overnight.

This is the best banana pudding ever, thats what i am told over and over and i just chuckle cause its soooo easy. made three of these over the weekend and my daughters coworkers devoured one and asked for more, the family ate one and some friends who dropped in demolished the third. So easy but so full of yummy goodness!

1 small box of jello banana instant pudding and ingredients to make it.
1-8oz tub of cool whip whipped topping
1 box nilla wafers (i wont substitute brand)
about 4 bananas cut in slices

Steps:

  • 1. Prepare pudding according to package. And let sit for the two minutes.
  • 2. Line bottom and sides of a 9 X 9 glass pan with Nilla wafers.
  • 3. To the banana pudding bowl, fold in 1/2 tub of cool whip whipped topping. Fold until completely blended.
  • 4. Pour 1/2 the pudding mix over the nilla wafers.
  • 5. Lay rows of banana slices over this.
  • 6. Place nilla wafers in between bananas, then top all this with remaining pudding.
  • 7. Make rows of nilla wafers and bananas by alternating wafer, banana, wafer banana.
  • 8. Top the banana slices with dollops of remaining cool whip.
  • 9. Refrigerate several hours before serving

1 12 ounce box Nilla Wafer Cookies (finely crushed)
½ cup butter (melted)
1 8 ounce package cream cheese
2 cups powdered sugar
2 8 ounce containers Cool Whip (divided)
1 5.1 ounce box banana cream instant pudding mix
2 cups milk
4 bananas (sliced)
½ cup caramel topping

Steps:

  • Mix together the crushed cookies and melted butter. Press into a 9 x 13 inch baking pan. *Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Let cool.
  • Beat together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and one container of Cool Whip. Spread on top of cooled cookie crust.
  • Beat together the banana cream pudding with milk. Let stand for about 4-5 minutes until it has thickened. Spread on top of cream cheese layer.
  • Spread sliced bananas on top of pudding, covering the entire pan.
  • Spread the last container of Cool Whip on top of the bananas. Let set in the fridge for at least 2 hours before serving.
  • Top with caramel sauce and any additional sliced bananas for each serving.

1 (12 ounce) box vanilla wafers
4 (3 1/2 ounce) boxes vanilla instant pudding mix
1 (14 ounce) box graham crackers
32 ounces Cool Whip, the large size
maraschino cherry
walnuts, for topping (optional)

Steps:

  • Prepare pudding as indicated on box.
  • Make a layer of the wafer cookies and graham crackers in the bottom.
  • of the bowl or pan, then add some sliced Bananas.( If using a see.
  • through bowl make sure to layer so it will look nice).
  • Add a layer of vanilla pudding.then on top of pudding add a thin layer of cool whip on top of that ad a little cherry juice.
  • Now continue this.

2/3 cup sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
48 Sunshine Vanilla Wafers
4 bananas (well-ripened)
1/4 cup sugar

Steps:

  • Scald milk in top of a double boiler over direct heat.
  • Meanwhile, in a small bowl, combine the beaten egg yolks, 2/3 cup of sugar, salt and cornstarch.
  • Pour about 1/2 cup of scalded milk over egg mixture, stirring to blend.
  • Return egg mixture to remaining milk in top of double boiler and set top in place over boiling water.
  • Cook, stirring until mixture is smooth and thickened (about 6 minutes).
  • Remove from heat and add vanilla.
  • Arrange alternate layers of vanilla wafers and sliced bananas in a 9-inch square cake an or in a 1-1/2 quart casserole.
  • Pour hot custard over the top and allow to cool. Heat oven to 425 (F).
  • Beat whites until stiff but not dry.
  • Add remaining 1/4 cup sugar gradually, continuing to beat until meringue is very stiff and glossy.
  • Spread over pudding and brown in preheated oven for 15 minutes.

2 teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
⅓ cup shortening
1 egg
1 cup white sugar
¼ cup milk
1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Steps:

  • In large bowl, cream together the shortening, sugar, egg, milk, and vanilla. Stir until well blended. In a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking powder and salt. Add to egg mixture and mix well. Cover and chill for 4 hours.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease baking sheets.
  • Roll out dough on a floured surface to a 1/4 inch thickness. Cut out cookies with round cookie cutter and place 1 inch apart on cookie sheets.
  • Bake 18 to 20 minutes until lightly colored. Cool on wire racks.

This is easily the best banana pudding recipe I've made and one that I always have people requesting I make for family events. The creamy textures and crunchy Nilla wafers provide the perfect balance and the toasted sweet meringue is delicious!

4 eggs (large)
1 cup sugar (divided)
3 1/2 tbsp all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
40 Nilla wafers
4 medium bananas (sliced into 1/8 inch thick rounds)

Steps:

  • First, separate the yolks from the whites of 3 of the eggs and set aside the whites. Add the remaining whole egg to the yolks. Then, in a medium saucepan, make the pudding. Whisk together 1/2 cup sugar, the flour, and 1/2 tsp salt. Add in the whole egg plus the 3 egg yolks, then the milk. Cook uncovered, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens, about 12 minutes. Once thickened, remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla.
  • Preheat the oven to 400F. In a 2 quart casserole dish, spread a thin layer of the pudding. Arrange a layer of Nilla wafers on top then a layer of the banana slices over the wafers. Continue this layering until you reach the top of the casserole dish, ending with pudding.
  • Once the pudding is done, make the meringue. Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until stiff. Beat in the remaining 1/2 cup sugar until the whites will not slide out of the mixing bowl even when tilted. Spread the meringue over the pudding, then bake until lightly browned, about 5 minutes. Serve immediately.
