Steps:
- In a bowl whisk all the dry ingredients for the crust and keep aside.
- In another bowl, combine water, yeast and sugar and let it sit until frothy. 5 minutes. Add the flax and mix in. Let it sit for a minute.
- Add the dry to the wet. Add in the yogurt and oil and mix well. Let the sticky dough sit for 10 minutes.
- Using flour or oil on your hands shape the dough into a flat ball. Place ball on parchment lined pie pan or 9 to 10 inch pan pizza or deep dish pizza pan.
- Spray water or oil on the dough, press with your hands and shape the dough to fit the pan with atleast 1/2 inch edge going up the sides. You can also use flour and roll the dough out between parchment sheets into a 9 to 10 inch round and then place in the pie pan.
- Even out the edges and let it sit for 15 minutes in a warm place. I usually put it near the oven when the over pre-heats.
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F / 200ºc. Place another parchment on top of the pizza pan. Bake for 10 minutes.
- Uncover and remove the pie pan from the oven. *The par-baked crust can be cooled and frozen at this point. I have not tried freezing this particular crust. Let me know if you do.
- Layer the sauce, toppings, cheese. Spray water on the crust edge.
- Bake for 14 minutes. Broil for 1 to 2 minutes to brown the edges. Cool for a minute or so, slice and serve

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 500 degrees F. (yup, as hot as it goes).
- Stir yeast and 1/2 tablespoon sugar into warmed water until dissolved. Let it sit for 7-10 minutes, until foamy.
- In a large bowl, add the flour, garlic powder, salt and remaining sugar. Whisk to combine. Add the activated yeast to the bowl along with the olive oil. Mix until all ingredients are well combined and form a dough. If dough is too sticky, add a couple tablespoons of flour.
- Form the dough into a ball and place back in the bowl (*lightly dust bowl with flour before placing the dough ball in). Completely cover the bowl with a damp napkin or hand towel for 30 minutes or until dough doubles in size.
- *You'll need a pizza pan or large cutting board ready to transfer the pizza into and out of the oven, but you won't be cooking on it. The pizza will be cooked on parchment paper only.
- Place a large piece of parchment paper over your work area (about the size of your pan). Dust the paper with flour so you can spread your dough easily. * Cut the dough in half using a wet knife. This recipe makes two 10-inch pizzas. I make one pizza at a time. While one is cooking, I'll prepare the other.
- Using your hands, spread dough across the parchment paper into a round pizza shape to your desired thickness. I spread the dough pretty thin because it rises while cooking. The edges should be slightly thicker to form a pillowed crust.
- To season your crust, lightly brush with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and Italian herbs.
- Using a spoon, spread the sauce evenly over the pizza and top with the mozzarella.
- Carefully slide the parchment paper onto your pan to transfer to the oven. Now slide the parchment paper back off your pan and directly onto the middle oven rack.
- Bake for 10-15 minutes, until the crust is golden brown. The pizza cooks fast so keep an eye on it.

- Sauté the garlic over a medium heat until just starting to brown. Use a couple teaspoons of water to do this if you like to cook oil-free or a tablespoon of olive oil if you prefer.
- When it is just starting to bubble turn it down to low and simmer gently for up to 30 minutes ( it doesn't technically need to be cooked as it's going on the oven on the pizza anyway, but the longer you allow it to simmer, the deeper the flavour gets).

- PREP: Preheat your oven to 450F and get out a [large cast iron pan|https://amzn.to/3ukU5IR rel='nofollow'].
- MARINATE THE VEGGIES: Chop all veggies and add them to a small bowl. Pour the vinaigrette over them evenly and toss to coat. Cover and place in the fridge for 15-30 minutes or while you make the vegan white sauce.
- MAKE THE VEGAN WHITE SAUCE: Add all the sauce ingredients to a small food processor or blender and blend until smooth and shiny (that’s key), stopping to scrape down the sides as needed.
- ASSEMBLE THE PIZZA: Use your hands to flatten the pizza crust into a [cast iron pan|https://amzn.to/3ukU5IR rel='nofollow'] and brush the whole crust lightly with olive oil. Then, spread a layer of the vegan white sauce on the pizza crust, leaving some room for the crust around the edges. Top this layer of sauce with the marinated veggies. Finally, drizzle a thin layer of white sauce on top of veggies and finish with an extra sprinkle of vegan cheese seasoning.

- Combine warm water and active dry yeast in a small bowl. Stir to dissolve the yeast, and set aside for 10 minutes to bloom. It should get frothy and smell very yeasty.
- Prep a 9×13-inch baking pan by drizzling olive oil until the bottom is covered. You’ll need this to be heavily greased so that the dough will not stick to it.
- Cook any vegan meat substitutes before adding it to the dough. I find that it cooks better when you do it first, rather than relying on the oven to cook it.
