This is a tastier version of Tater Tot® casserole with hearty ingredients for a full meal. Made with Owens® Original Breakfast Sausage, Ro*Tel® Diced Tomatoes, frozen broccoli cuts and Ore-Ida® Tater Tots®. I like it because it is easier than shepherd's pie. My friends and their pre-teen kids love it too. Spread more cheese over potatoes before baking if desired.

1 (16 ounce) package pork sausage (such as Owens® Original)
1 small onion, chopped
1 ½ teaspoons minced garlic
1 (10 ounce) can diced tomatoes with green chile peppers (such as RO*TEL®)
1 (12 ounce) package frozen chopped broccoli, thawed
2 cups shredded Mexican cheese blend
1 (10.75 ounce) can cream of celery soup
1 (32 ounce) package frozen bite-size potato nuggets (such as Tater Tots®)
1 pinch ground black and red pepper blend (such as McCormick® Hot Shot®), or to taste

Steps:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Spray a 2-quart baking dish with cooking spray.
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir sausage in the hot skillet until browned and crumbly, 5 to 7 minutes; drain and discard grease. Add onion and garlic; cook and stir until onion is softened, 5 to 10 minutes.
Mix tomatoes with green chile peppers, broccoli, Mexican cheese blend, and cream of celery soup into sausage mixture; spread into the prepared baking dish. Arrange potato nuggets over sausage mixture; season with pepper.
Bake in the preheated oven until cheese is bubbling and potato nuggets are slightly brown, about 45 minutes.

3/4 to 1 pound ground beef or turkey
1 small onion, chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
1 package (16 ounces) frozen Tater Tots
1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
2/3 cup 2% milk or water
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Steps:

Preheat oven to 350°. In a large skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Season with salt and pepper. , Transfer to a greased 2-qt. baking dish. Top with Tater Tots. Combine soup and milk; pour over potatoes. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake, uncovered, 30-40 minutes or until heated through.

This is a really tasty, quick and easy recipe that is great for a quick weeknight meal. My mom used to make this for me as a kid and as I have grown up I have changed it a little to suit my personal taste preference. Its a bit of a crowd pleaser so don't be surprised if the left overs don't last long.

Ingredients

1 1/2 lbs ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
1 (1 1/4 ounce) packet onion soup mix
1 (15 ounce) canned corn (or frozen corn)
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
8 ounces rotini pasta or 8 ounces elbow macaroni
1 lb frozen tater tots

Steps:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Bring medium pot of lightly salted water to a boil then add the noodles of your choice. Cook about 7-9 minutes or until al dente. Drain and set aside.
While cooking the pasta, brown ground beef with chopped onion. Drain.
Mix condensed soups, corn and onion soup mix together in medium sized bowl.
In 9x13 casserole dish, combine soup mixture, noodles and meat. Mix well.
Top with shredded cheese and desired amount of tater tots.
Bake in oven for about 20-30 minutes.

1 can condensed french onion soup
2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
1 bag frozen tater tots

Steps:

In a bowl, beat the eggs with milk, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
Spread the sausage over the bottom of a glass 9×13-inch (35 cm x 25 cm) baking dish. Pour on the onion soup, and mix with the sausage.
Sprinkle the cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
Cover with the lined up tater tots, and pour the egg mixture over everything.
Bake uncovered at 350°F (180°C) for one hour.

1 can peas, drained and rinsed
¼ cup milk
½ cup sour cream
1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon onion powder
2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 bag frozen tater tot

Steps:

Sauté your garlic and onion in a splash of olive oil until soft. Add beef and brown thoroughly.
Place mixture in a casserole dish. To this, add all other ingredients except cheese and tater tots. Stir to combine.
Top with cheese, then top with tots. Spray with cooking spray.
Bake at 375°F for 25 minutes. Then, broil for 3-5 minutes or until brown.
