The holiday season calls for toasts, which, in turn, call for bubbly. Sure, you could pour a glass of sparkling Prosecco, but turning it into a celebratory punch rich with fruity, tart pomegranate juice takes things in an even livelier direction.

Yield Makes about 10 cups

Number Of Ingredients 6

Ingredients

1 qt chilled pomegranate juice
2 Tbsp fresh lime juice
1/4 cup superfine granulated sugar
2 (750ml) bottles chilled Prosecco
2 clementines, thinly sliced crosswise
1 lime, thinly sliced crosswise

Steps:

Stir together juices and sugar in a large punch bowl until sugar has dissolved. Stir in Prosecco and serve garnished with fruit.
Do Ahead
Punch, without Prosecco, can be made 1 day ahead and chilled.

1/2 cup fresh pomegranate juice (from about two 11-ounce pomegranates)
1/4 cup Grand Marnier
2 tablespoons pomegranate seeds
2 (750 ml) bottles very well chilled prosecco

Steps:

Mix pomegranate juice and grand marnier together.
Place pomegranate inthe freezer for 1 hour.
Fill 8 Champagne glasses with Prosecco top with pom/Grand mixture.
Float a few frozen seeds in each glass and serve.

Steps:

Cut pomegranate in half and scoop out seeds. Place seeds in a bowl.
Place several pomegranate seeds in the bottom of a champagne flute, add a splash of juice and fill with champagne.
