SESAME AND GINGER BEEF SANDWICHES
Loosely inspired by bing, a style of Chinese pastry that varies from a thin crepe to a thick flatbread, this recipe uses refrigerated pizza dough, which is cooked in a pan until golden then halved and filled with roast beef stir-fried with sesame, ginger and scallion, plus a tangy spicy slaw.

Steps:
- Microwave the pizza dough on 50 percent power to soften, 1 to 2 minutes, then let rest 5 minutes. Grease a large plate with vegetable oil; shape the dough into a 9-inch round and place on the plate. Sprinkle with 1 tablespoon sesame seeds and 1/4 teaspoon salt.
- Toss the coleslaw mix, vinegar, chili oil, and salt to taste in a bowl. In another bowl, toss the roast beef, sesame oil, scallions and ginger.
- Heat 3 tablespoons vegetable oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the dough seed-side down and sprinkle with the remaining 1 tablespoon sesame seeds. Cover and fry, shaking the pan occasionally, until the dough is golden, about 3 minutes per side, turning with tongs. Transfer to paper towels, season with salt and cool.
- Wipe out the skillet and place over high heat. Add the roast beef mixture and stir-fry until crisp, 1 to 2 minutes. Slice the flatbread in half horizontally. Layer the beef, coleslaw mixture and cilantro on the bottom half. Cover with the top and cut into 4 wedges.
- Bing is a Chinese flatbread, often used to sandwich meat, eggs or fried dough for breakfast.

SESAME BEEF STIR-FRY
Soy sauce and gingerroot add great flavor to this quick beef stir-fry. It couldn't be simpler to make, but it's definitely elegant enough to serve someone special. -Charlene Chambers, Ormond Beach, Florida

BEEF AND GINGER STIR-FRY
Want to become 1,000 percent more efficient in the kitchen? Take a cue from restaurant chefs and set up all of your mise en place-that would be your ingredients, sliced and measured out-before you start cooking. You'll go from raw ingredients to a glossy stir-fry in the time it takes to make a pot of rice. How convenient.

Steps:
- Toss steak in a medium bowl with sugar, sesame oil, 1 tsp. soy sauce, and 1 tsp. salt to coat and let sit 20 minutes.
- Place a large skillet over high heat. Pour in vegetable oil and swirl to coat bottom of pan. The oil should be shimmering and you should see some wisps of smoke-if it's not hot enough, the meat will steam instead of getting deeply browned.
- Add steak to skillet in an even layer (it's okay to crowd it a bit) and cook, undisturbed, until brown around the edges, about 2 minutes. Turn steak over and add onion, ginger, lots of pepper, and 1/3 cup water. Cook, tossing often, until onion is just tender and ginger is softened, about 2 minutes.
- Remove skillet from heat and add butter, lemon juice, and remaining 1 Tbsp. soy sauce. Toss until butter is melted and coats steak. Taste and season with more salt if needed.
- Divide rice among bowls and top with beef stir-fry.
GROUND BEEF SESAME GINGER STIR FRY
This is my first attempt at doing a stir fry. If I say so myself, it turned out pretty well. Chop your veggies first because as you know, it doesn't take long to cook a stir fry dish.

SESAME GINGER BEEF STIR-FRY
"This quick stir-fry is so colorful and tasty," reports Linda Murray of Allenstown, New Hampshire. TIP: "Vary the recipe by substituting chicken or other vegetables you have on hand," Linda suggests. "The quickest version uses prepared veggies from our grocery store's salad bar."

GINGER BEEF STIR-FRY
This stir-fry comes together for quick weeknight meal. I do not suggest dry garlic powder or dry ginger, as you will not get the flavor profile fresh ginger and garlic bring. Serve on top of cooked rice.

ASIAN GROUND BEEF STIR FRY
This is my first ever recipe submission! I actually totally improvised this recipe today and thought it turned out well enough to share. I named it "Asian" because of the soy sauce, sesame oil and ginger. I highly recommend using a cast iron skillet because it holds heat much better than a standard pan which is important for a stir fry. It also helps to add a hint of toasty, smoky flavor. Use any standard cooking potatoes. I actually used 3 small red potatoes. You can also try adding green pepper, peas or chopped tomatoes for more flavor. Feel free to use regular soy sauce but it's saltier, so watch the salt you add during cooking. I always use low sodium due to dietary restrictions. If you like things spicy, add more cayenne.

Steps:
- Heat skillet to medium heat and add about 3 tbsp olive oil.
- Add the onions and a little salt and pepper.
- Cook a few minutes until onions are almost translucent.
- Add garlic.
- Add potatoes and about 1 tablespoons more olive oil.
- Stir with onions and garlic.
- Cover skillet and let cook 4-5 minutes, stirring a couple times. Potatoes should now be slightly fork tender.
- Add ginger, paprika and cayenne and stir.
- Make a "hole" in the mixture, exposing a small circle of the bottom of the skillet and add sesame oil to it.
- Stir ingredients well and let cook another couple minutes.
- Remove ingredients from skillet to a bowl and set aside.
- Add a little more olive oil and brown the ground beef.
- Mix in a dash of salt and pepper.
- Drain liquid, leaving a little bit in the pan.
- Add the onion/garlic/potato mixture back to pan and combine with beef.
- Add soy sauce and rice wine vinegar and stir well.
- Taste mixture and add whatever you think it needs. I usually add a little more ginger at this point. Soy sauce adds tangy/salty flavor, rice wine vinegar is sour, etc.
- After cooking a couple more minutes, add cilantro and stir well.
- Serve by itself or over steamed rice.
- Enjoy!
