This is such a yummy comfort food casserole that my family back in NJ makes(and I do too). It's cheesy and creamy and even my picky sisters like it.

Number Of Ingredients 9

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef
1 medium onion, minced
8 ounces egg noodles
1 tablespoon butter
1 cup sour cream
1 (10 2/3 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
salt and pepper
1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese (or more if you'd like it cheesier)
crushed potato chips

Steps:

Brown beef and onion together.
Cook noodles, drain and stir butter into hot noodles.
Mix together sour cream, soup and seasonings.
Alternate layers of noodles, beef mixture, cheese, and soup mixture(spread soup mixture as best you can, okay if it isn't evenly), in a greased 2 or 2 1/2 quart casserole.
Top with potato chips.
Bake at 350 degrees for 25-35 minutes.

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 small onion, chopped
1 1/2 cups chopped tomatoes
10 ounces egg noodles, cooked
1 cup sour cream
8 ounces cream cheese
1 cup cheddar cheese

Steps:

Brown the ground beef, salt and pepper to taste.
Add onion and tomatoes. Mix till smooth.
In a separate bowl, Mix cream cheese and sour cream together.
Layer some prepared noodles on the bottom of a greased 9x13 pan.
Now add some of the cream cheese mixture. Last, the ground beef mixture.
Layer until pan is full.
Sprinkle the top with the cheddar cheese. Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees.

Brown meat and onion with garlic until tender in skillet on top of the stove. Cook macaroni according to package directions, drain and set aside.
Drain hamburger mixture and stir in soup, milk, seasonings, and mushrooms. Layer half of hamburger, macaroni and cheese in a 2 quart casserole. Repeat with meat and macaroni. Save last half of cheese.
Bake in preheated 350 degree oven, uncovered, for 20 minutes. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Return to oven until cheese melts. Makes 6-8 servings.
