A cream cheese ball with crushed pineapple, green onions, and bell pepper. This is such a crowd pleaser.

Ingredients

2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
1 (8 ounce) can crushed pineapple, well drained
1/4 cup finely chopped green or red bell pepper ((or a mix of both))
3 Tablespoons finely chopped green onion
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
2 cups chopped pecans, divided

Steps:

In a large bowl, mix all of the ingredients (only 1 cup of the pecans) together until well combined. Shape into a ball. Place the remaining 1 cup of pecans on a plate and roll the ball in the pecans covering well.
Refrigerate until ready to serve. Serve with crackers: wheat thins, Ritz, or Triscuits work well.

Ingredients

1 pound ground beef
½ teaspoon ground ginger
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
1 (8 ounce) can pineapple chunks, juice reserved
⅓ cup water, or as needed
¼ cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
¼ cup white vinegar
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 green bell pepper, chopped

Steps:

Mix together ground beef, ginger, garlic powder, and pepper until well combined. Form into 1 1/2-inch meatballs.
Saute meatballs in a large frying pan over medium-high heat until browned, about 10 minutes. Remove meatballs to a plate, reserving the pan drippings.
While the meatballs are cooking, pour juice from the canned pineapple into a liquid measuring cup and add enough water to make 1 cup. Mix brown sugar and cornstarch in a small bowl.
Add pineapple juice and brown sugar mixtures to the warm pan drippings. Add vinegar and soy sauce and bring to a boil. Cook until sauce thickens, 2 to 3 minutes. Add meatballs, pineapple chunks, and green pepper. Simmer until meatballs are no longer pink inside, about 10 minutes.

1 loaf (1 pound) Hawaiian sweet bread
1 block (8 ounces) Swiss cheese
3 slices red onion, chopped
1/2 cup butter, melted
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon salt

Steps:

Cut bread diagonally into 1-in. slices to within 1 in. of bottom. Repeat cuts in opposite direction. Cut Swiss cheese into 1/4-in. slices; cut slices into small pieces. Insert into bread. Combine the onion, butter, garlic and salt; spoon over bread. , Wrap loaf in foil. Bake at 350° for 25-30 minutes or until cheese is melted. Serve warm.
