I was looking on the Zaar for this recipe, but suprisingly, only found recipe for corn chips using corn tortillas. Found this somewhere else online..

1 cup cornmeal
1 tablespoon oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup boiling water

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Mix all ingredients in a bowl.
  • Turn dough out onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a well oiled baking sheet.
  • Spread dough out evenly and thinly across pan.
  • You may scored the dough into chip shapes or leave it whole and break it up later.
  • Bake for 10 minutes at 400 degrees.
  • Allow to cool on pan and break apart.

Buttery, ranchy, zesty, corny, salty, with a hint of garlic - these buttery ranch corn chips (or fritos) are the absolute perfect snack to have at parties, at home, pretty much anywhere that you want fantastic, yummy, and addictive snacks to be!!

2 X 10.5 oz Frito Corn Chips Original
1 packet of Hidden Valley Ranch Seasoning
3/4 c butter, melted
2 tsp Montreal Steak Seasoning

Steps:

  • In a bowl, pour the two bags of Frito corn chips.
  • Mix together the butter and ranch seasoning.
  • Pour over in small increments, the butter mixture over the corn chips and fold. Try not to mix too hard so that it breaks the corn chips.
  • With every addition of the butter mixture to the chips, sprinkle some of the Montreal steak seasoning as well. Be sure its well distributed throughout the chips.
  • Transfer to a slow cooker and cook on high WITHOUT THE LID, for 1.5 hours, mixing them every 15-20 minutes or cook on low for 3 hours, again, mixing occasionally, and without the lid on the slow cooker.
  • After cooking time is up, transfer to a serving bowl and dig in!

Homemade Cool Ranch Corn Chips are a healthy snack recipe that's reminiscent of the ever popular Cool Ranch Doritos, but you don't have to feel guilty about serving them to our kids!

2 tbsp nutritional yeast
1 tsp sweet paprika
1 tbsp dried parsley
2 tsp fresh dill or 1 tsp dried
1 tsp dried chives
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp sweet paprika
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp sea salt
10 organic corn tortillas
1-1 /2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees (F).
  • Add all herbs and spices to a spice grinder and blend until well mixed. If you don't have a spice grinder, add all ingredients to a small plastic or paper bag and gently rub in between the palms of your hands to break the spices down.
  • Brush both sides of each tortilla with a bit of olive oil, set in a stack, then cut the stack into wedges.
  • Lay the slices of tortillas in a single layer using two baking sheets, if necessary.
  • Bake for 6 minutes, turn using tongs, then bake for another 6-9 minutes or until they turn slightly golden brown.
  • As soon as they come out of the oven, spritz with a bit more olive oil, then heavily sprinkle the chips w/ the spice mixture
  • Toss to coat then allow the chips to remain on the baking sheets for a few more minutes to ensure they're completely dry.
  • Serve with your favorite dip!
  • Enjoy!

1 ½ tablespoons coconut oil
⅓ cup corn kernel
2 tablespoons olive oil

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, mix together the ranch dressing mix, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt. Set aside.
  • Melt the coconut oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add 3-4 popcorn kernels and cover with the lid. Once they pop, add the rest of the kernels and cover, shaking every 10 seconds, until they begin pop. Once the pops are more than 3 seconds apart, turn off the heat and let sit for 15 seconds to allow any final kernels to pop.
  • Uncover and drizzle the olive oil over the popcorn. Carefully toss to coat.
  • Sprinkle the cool ranch spice mixture over the popcorn and stir to coat evenly.
